It is with saddened hearts that after a long courageous battle with cancer, we had to say goodbye to our loving husband, father, and papa, Michael Joseph DeMarco on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Bluewater Health at the age of 66. Michael was a dedicated employee at Romatec for 43 years, a member at the Camlachie Golf Club, where he will be greatly missed.  He was an avid sports fan, especially during the NHL season when he was a devoted fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, he was a sports statistician, but most of all he loved spending time with his family who were his pride and joy. Michael was the beloved husband of Sharon DeMarco. Loving father to Michelle (Matthew Ridley) DeMarco, Melissa (Mark) McClelland and Joleen (Blair) DeMarco-Wettlaufer. Cherished Papa to Alicia (Devin) Cresswell, Cynthia DeMarco, Erica McClelland, Abigail McClelland, Alexander Wettlaufer and Katie Wettlaufer. Dear brother to Nancy (the late Donald) Thomas, Bill (the late Theresa) DeMarco, Patricia (the late Dennis) Sedgbeer, Della (Charles) McGillion, Sally (Havelin) Toms, Terry (Bev) DeMarco and Robert (Mary) DeMarco. Predeceased by his parents William and Simone DeMarco, his mother-in-law June Clement and his brothers-in-law Harry Clement and Richard Clement. Survived by brothers and sisters-in-law Frank (Joan) Clement, Patty Clement, Gus (Leanne) Clement, Carol (Gerry) Taylor, Terri (Jim) Richmond and Jacquelyne (Gino) Strisovich. Dear best friend to George (Celia) Fitzjohn. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Dr. Dostaler, for the care and compassion she showed Michael during his battle with cancer.
