Delves, John Stephenson -October 10, 1934 – March 9, 2014 – It is with love in our hearts that we announce the death of John Delves.  Predeceased by Katharine McDonald (2007).  John took his last breath in the presence of his children; Lauren Delves, Ian Delves and his wife Ingi Gould-Delves at the RoyalVictoriaHospital, Barrie.  John was born in Toronto, attended East York Collegiate, Graduated in Industrial Design from the Ontario College of Art (A.O.C.A) in 1959.  He moved to San Francisco in 1963 to persue his career, where he designed many facilities, casinos, bars, and hotels winning the Governor of California Award for Design Excellence.  John returned to Canada in 1977 to teach at GeorgianCollege (Barrie) until his retirement.  He continued to paint and was a member of the Ontario Society of Artists.  John has left us and his art lives on and on.  He had passionate opinions about the Arts and was my best dancing partner. He broke his hip and his brave battle with Leukemia ended.  Thanks go to Dr. Andre Bedard, Dr. Bryn Pressnail, Dr. Margaret Collins, Charlene Hagerman, nurses in the Chemo Suite (R.V.H.) and Dr. David Spanner (Sunnybrook Medical Centre).  Special thanks to Pat and Brian Thompson.  Memorial donations for research into Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (C.L.L.) would be appreciated.  Cremation has taken place.  A spring celebration will follow.
