WEB_DelDuca_MatteoMatteo passed away peacefully at the age of 86 at his home on January 17, 2013 surrounded by his family and adoring wife of 60 years, Italia. Matteo will be deeply missed by his four children Vincent (Isabel MD), Joseph (Marian), Anna (Chris) and Steven (Brenda). Cherished Nonno of Laryssa, Michael, Lisa, Kelly, Lauren (1983), Ashley, David, Alexander, Sarah and Matthew. He is survived by his brother, Giovanni (Nicoletta) and predeceased by his siblings Raffaele, Luisa (Matteo), Rocco and Angela. He is survived by sisters-in-law Carmela and Graziella. Also brother-in-law to Romano (Santina), Vittorio (Karen) and Irma (the late Carmine). He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews as well. Matteo was the founder and owner of many local businesses including Romeo Machine Shop, Ro-Matt International and Del Duca Industrial Park where he worked daily with his sons until his 86th birthday. Heartfelt thanks go to Dr. Henry Fortuna as well as other physicians and nursing staff involved in his care at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital, Revera Homecare and Hospice. If you so desire, donations to the Scalabrini Foundation for the Poor- St.Angela Merici Church.Visitation Friday 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Prayers Friday at 8pm. Funeral Saturday 10:30am from Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841 to St. Angela Merici Church (980 Louis Ave.) for funeral Mass at 11:00am.
