At Bluewater Health on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, Clarence DeJong age 90 of Sarnia. Dear father of Arlene and her husband Reza Allahmoradi and their children David, Sarah and Katie and dear father of Debbie and her husband Gus Croteau and their children Jayla and Nicole. Predeceased by his wife Gertrude (1998) and son Ben (1995). He is survived by his very special friend Vicky Chamberlain. Clarence had a large family with brothers Ben (Port Perry), Bob (Cayman Island), Jake (Sarnia) and sisters Detje and Sjoeke (Holland) and predeceased by Norman, Roelie, Gertje and Hummie. Clarence was the owner of DeJong Construction and leaves his legacy in many of the buildings around Sarnia. He lived many years at Landmark Village prior to his move to Rosewood Manor, where his quick smile camaraderie will be greatly missed by all. A funeral service was held at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or Bluewater Health Foundation (cheques only at the funeral home please).
