April 15th, 1919 to October 17th, 2012

Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital on Wednesday, October 17th, 2012 in her 94th year.  Isabel Mary Deacon, beloved Mother of Dalt Spicer (Susan) of Cobourg, wife of the late Mayor Benson Spicer of Port Hope and the late James Deacon of Toronto.  Cherished Grandmother of Terry (Cindy) of Calgary, Jacki of Cobourg, the late Robert, Michael (Lauren) of Panama and Dana (Andrew) of Cobourg.  Great-Grandmother of April-Anne (Mike), Cody (Kerry) and Brianne.  

Isabel is survived by her Sister, Lois Hamlin of Kingston, and predeceased by her parents Thomas & Annie Nelson of Garden Hill, and siblings Oral, Ray, Charles, Walter, Les, Leonard, Lindy, Dalton, Bill and Keith. 

Isabel, fondly known as Belle, was a 60 year Member of the Starlight Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.  Isabel loved travelling and served as a tour guide for Golliger Travel of Cobourg for many years.    

We will miss her laughter, her smiling face and her love for family, friends and life.  

Friends are welcome to a Celebration of Isabel’s Life in the Reception Centre at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E., Cobourg from 2-4 pm on Monday, October 22, 2012.
