Mr. John de Bakker, a resident of Wallaceburg for 55 years, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 31, 2014 at his home, in Wallaceburg, at the age of 77 years. John was born in Kloosterzande, Netherlands and was a son of the late Rene and Marie (Sey) de Bakker. Beloved husband of almost 55 years to Roos (Kint) de Bakker. Loving father of Mike (Dorothy)
de Bakker, Frank (Tracy) de Bakker, Tracey (Mark) Rombough, Audrey MacDonald, Brian (Lori) de Bakker and Karey de Bakker. Sadly missed by 19 grandchildren. Kind brother of Martha, Jo, Wies, Dien, Jose and Sjen. Also survived by many nieces and nephews family and friends. Friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Prayers will be held at 4pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from Our Lady Help of Christians Church, in Wallaceburg, at 10:30 a.m., with Fr. Greg Bonin, Celebrant. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Food For Children or the Heart and Stroke Foundation may be left at the funeral home.
