Daybutch, Jean Deloris of Mississauga First Nation, Blind River, Ontario
May 31, 1936 – July 9, 2013
At the Blind River District Health Centre after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 77 years. Jean Daybutch of Mississauga First Nation, Loving mother of Brian Daybutch of Sault Ste. Marie, Rose Daybutch of British Columbia, John Daybutch of Orillia and Kelly MacLeod-Chenier of Quebec. Grandmother of 6 and great grandmother to 2. Beloved sister of Marilyn Mulholland ( late John ) of Thessalon and Roger Daybutch ( Shelly ) of Mississauga First Nation. Predeceased by her parents Steve and Eva Daybutch of Mississauga First Nation and siblings Alice Landry, Bob Daybutch, Sally Cuthbertson, Clarence Daybutch and Hazel King. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Jean was an active member of the Nippising Native Housing Association and North Bay Friendship Centre. She was also a proud member of the Alcoholic Anonymous for 33 years. Jean was also very well known along the Pow Wow trail for her beautiful handmade moccasins and crafts. A huge thank you to the Drs and nurses who took very good care of Jean at the Blind River District Health Centre. Your thoughtfulness and caring will always be remembered by the family! Jean will be sadly missed by all. R.I.P. Friends may call at the Mississauga First Nation Cultural Centre, Mississauga First Nation on Thursday July 11, 2013 from 6pm until time of memorial service on Friday July 12, 2013 at 11 0’clock.
