>> Christopher Dawber was born in an air raid in London, U.K., and came to Canada with his now late parents, Geoffrey and Edith, in 1952. As an accountant for Nortel/Norcom CDT/Belden, he received many suggestion awards because of his ‘outside-the-box’ way of looking at problems. After retirement, his creativity similarly helped many individuals with tax issues. His finest creative expression came in painting which he enjoyed all his life and which produced many beautiful pieces. He is survived by his wife, Diane, sons Michael (Alex) and Matthew (Leela,) grandsons Edison and Alexander, mother-in-law Madge, sisters-in-law Barbara (Vaughan) and Nan (Gaston,) nieces, nephews, their spouses and children as well as many friends. There will be a celebration of his life, at home, on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 1 until 4 pm. Those wishing to attend please contact Diane. Donations in his name may be made to Health Pursuits Reading and Research: MEND, of which Chris was a Board Member, helping the organization to receive a recent Trillium Foundation grant.
