MACINTYRE, David Graham was born near Parkhill, Ontario in 1916 and passed away February 7, 2012, in London, Ontario in his 96th year. David was predeceased by his wife Alice (2003), his brother Donald and sisters Ila and Erma. David is survived by his four children: Bob (Jean), Beth (Charles), Donald (Janet), Alan (Cathy), and nine grandchildren: Chris (Kathleen), Ryan, Kevin (Kristen), Heather, Robbie, Scott, Emily, David and Georgia. David began his career in one-room school houses in Middlesex County before teaching in Sarnia in 1943. He worked as a teacher and later as a principal at Lochiel St., Parkview, London Rd., Devine St. and Johnston Memorial Schools.  After retiring in 1974, he served two terms on the Public School Board in Sarnia, as well as a number of years on the Board of Goodwill Industries.  David received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario and Bachelor of Education and Master of Education from the University of Toronto.  He also received his Certificate in Guidance from the Ontario College of Education and published two guidance books which were used for many years in public schools across Ontario. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2012, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, with family and friends being received one hour prior to the service.  Private interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
