Mrs. Rose Magdalen “Madlyn” Dalton, a resident of Chatham and formerly of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at home with her family by her side at the age of 85 years. She was born in Sombra Township and was a daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Moran) Lozon. Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Thomas Dalton (2012). Loving mother and mother-in-law of Mary Anne (Dave) Henderson, Lori Dalton, and the late Michael (Amy) Dalton. Dear grandmother of Eric, Sean, Bart, Beau, Daisy and great grandmother of Peyton. Kind sister of Bun (Rosemarie) Lozon and sister-in-law of Bill (Jane) Dalton and Alta (Pat) Johnston. Predeceased by a brother-in-law Leo (the late Peggy) Dalton and the late Dr. Eric Dalton. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and her little K9 friend Charlie. She was a member of the Our Lady of Help CWL for many years. The late Madlyn Dalton is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home (639 Elgin St. Wallaceburg, 519-627-2861). Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11am with visitation from 10 to 11 at Our Lady Help of Christians Church. A private family Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Chatham Kent Health Alliance “Oncology Unit” may be left at the funeral home.
