CURTS: Lawrence “Winston” of Sarnia

March 21, 1927 ~ April 5, 2012

Peacefully at Bluewater Health, Lawrence “Winston” Curts went home to be with his Lord and Saviour at age 85. Beloved husband of 57 years to Willa Curts (Borthwick).  Devoted father to Daniel Curts (Andrea) of London and Dianne Martin (Douglas) of Dalmeny, SK.  Cherished grandfather to Danielle (Peter), Kayleigh (Scott) and David Curts and Kyle and Michelle Martin.  He is also survived by his brother George (Ilene) Curts of Forest and his sister Isabel Wakeling (Ken) of Ingersoll, and many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his parents Norman and Addie Curts and brother Ray Curts (2007) and sister-in-law Myrle Curts. Winston was known for his friendly smile and telling stories about his school days and life on the farm near Arkona.  He loved birds and his hobby was making bird houses for friends and neighbours.  He was a transport driver for Western-Overland for 43 years.  He attended Bethel Church and he enjoyed Tuesday night hymn sing and Bible Study.  His most joyful times were spent with his five grandchildren and family. Family and friends will be received on Monday, April 9, 2012, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Bethel Pentecostal Church, 1565 London Line, Sarnia.  Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
