Joyce ” Joy” Cruickshank, of Tiverton, passed away at SBGHC- Kincardine Site on Thursday, August 07, 2014. She was 95.
Born in Elderslie Township on November 27, 1918 to the late Charles and Hazel (nee Davis) Calhoun. Joyce and her husband Carman spent many years farming and in her later years was involved with Royal LePage Real Estate and McIntee until her retirement. She enjoyed being a member of the U. C. W. of Dobbinton United Church.
Survived by son Kevin (Nancy) Cruickshank of RR#5 Kincardine, grandchildren Travis (Colleen) Cruickshank, Cole (Susan) Cruickshank both of Kincardine, Holly Cruickshank (Kyle Stevenson) of Collingwood, Crystal (Ben Gardhouse), Kaylee Pletsch both of Hanover and great granddaughter Ivy. Loved by her brothers Ronald (Marlene) Calhoun of Elmwood, Leonard (Pat) Calhoun of Hanover, sisters Blanche (Gordon) Elder of Desboro and Donna Bryce of Paisley. Predeceased by her husband Carman Cruickshank, daughter Bonnie Pletsch, brother Willard Calhoun, brother in law John Bryce and sister in law Eloise Calhoun.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am.
Interment in Hanover Cemetery, Hanover.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimers Society or to the Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
