Crossette, Robert Eugene “Gene” of St. Thomas, passed away suddenly, at his late residence, on Friday, December 27th, 2013, in his 70th year. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Sandra (Townsend) Crossette and loved father of Gary (Lisa) Crossette of Cochran, Alberta, Tina (Jerry) Kriese of Calgary and Ryan, Shaun and Dale Crossette, all of St. Thomas. Loved grandfather of Joshua, Jordan, T.J., Hope, Kattie, Robert, Brandon, Madison, Dillan, Kim, Brodie, Abby and great grandfather of Autumn and Scarlett. Dear brother of Marie Thomas, Jane Bruce, Leo Paquette and Doris Spittal. Dear brother-in-law of Stephen and  Susan Townsend of Durham. Predeceased by a number of brothers and sisters. Sadly missed by his extended family at Tim Horton’s. Gene was born in London, Ontario on December 6th, 1944, the son of the late Herbert and Ila May (Brooks) Crossett. Predeceased by his birthmother Mary Paquette. He was retired from Phil Mauer and Associates where he worked in Quality Control. He was an avid bowler and bowled a number of years in ABC Bowling League and CTF Bowling Association. He also played baseball and hockey and enjoyed following the St. Thomas Stars.

Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Thursday, January 2nd, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation on Wednesday, January 1st, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
