Mrs. Margaret M. Countryman, a resident of Dover Centre, passed away peacefully after her battle with cancer, on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the CKHA “Chatham Campus” at the age of 82 years. Beloved wife of 60 years to George Countryman. She was born in Grand Pointe in 1931. Daughter of the late Wilfred and Sophie (Antaya) Bechard. Loving mother of Phil (Sandy), Dan, Paul (April), Mike, Chris (Tylene), Rob (Lisa) and Pete. Dear grandmother of Dave, Lisa, Crystal, Ryan, Mitch, Matt, Rachel, Greta, Emma, Stephanie, Mackenzie, Bailey, and great grandmother of Avery, Gabriel, Curt, Jack, Jeffery and Hendrix. Predeceased by a son David Lawrence Countryman, two brothers Paul and Louie and two sisters Rita O’Mara and Jeane Morris. Margaret was a member of the Holy Family Church CWL for over 50 years and was a Eucharistic Minister at the church for more then 10 years. Margaret rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, until the Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from Holy Family Church at 10:30 am. Interment was in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Canadian Cancer or the Holy Family “Roof Fund” may be left at the funeral home. As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Margaret Countryman.
