Connor- Maria Concetta “Connie” passed away peacefully with her family by her side in the early morning hours on Sunday, July 15th, 2012 at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. She was in her 91st year. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 70 years, Leonard Connor. Sadly missed by her children Patrick (Kathie) Connor of St. Thomas, Nanette Wild of London, Margaret (Bill) Hamilton of Woodstock and Susan (Merle) Jennings of London. Cherished grandmother of Kenzie (Ralph) Cairns, Krista Connor, Stephen (Tara) Connor, Robert (Lauren) Connor, Connie (Chuck) Rudwall, Dennis (Karen) Hanley, Phillip (Joella) Hanley, Alison (David) Hamilton, Matthew (Ashley) Hamilton, Sarah (Blake) Eddy, Stacy (Eric) Rusticus and Megan (Kevin) Radigan. Deeply missed by 17.5 great grandchildren (one on the way). Dear sister of Frank (Joan), Ray (Joan) and Larry (Cathy) all from the Hamilton area. She will be sadly missed by a special family friend Jim Rumball. She is predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Connie was born on December 21, 1921 in Cospicua, Malta. Loving daughter of the late Antonio and Antonia Xuereb. Connie was an active member of the C.W.L. and took pride in her volunteer work for the Meals on Wheels program and the Canadian Cancer Society. She was an avid golfer and spent many of her days at the St. Thomas Golf and Country Club.

Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be recited at 4:00 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne’s Church on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Holy Angels Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Anne’s Parish, STEGH building fund or to the charity of one’s choice.
