Cliffe, Dorothy E. of Bobier Villa, Dutton and formerly of St. Thomas, passed away on Friday, October 26th, 2012, at her late residence, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Alan G. Cliffe (1980) and cherished mother of Robert Cliffe, Cheryl Chase (Wally) and Judy Sheridan (Vince). Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Steve and Tim Sheridan, Tracy Sheridan, Lori Brooks, Kim Leonard, Carrie Swan and Rob Cliffe. Sadly missed by 11 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Ken Macdonald (Marjorie) and a brother-in-law Bruce Cliffe (Ruth). Predeceased by a sister Florence Macdonald and a brother Verdun Macdonald. She is also survived by a nephew Gary Macdonald. Dorothy was born in Durham, Ontario on July 21, 1918, the daughter of the late William and Gladys (Lawrence) Macdonald. Dorothy was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church. She was a past member of the St. Thomas Golf and Country Club, the Art Gallery and I.O.D.E. She was well known for her beautiful knitting and handcrafts.

The family will receive friends at Knox Presbyterian Church on Monday from 2:00-3:00 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Dorothy’s life will follow at 3:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation. Williams Funeral Home 45 Elgin St., St Thomas entrusted with the arrangements.
