Peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Bluewater Health, William “Bill” Clawson passed away at the age of 67. Loving father of Michael (Raquel) Clawson and Scott Clawson. Cherished grandfather of Sage, Neve, Myla Rayne and Willow. Dear brother of Patricia Burton and Judy Wellington.  Predeceased by his parents Milo (Mike) and Vera Clawson and brother-in-law Paul Wellington. William Clawson was born and raised is Sarnia, Ontario and made his home in the community. From a young age he coloured outside the lines and this approach served him well throughout his life. He was an excellent athlete in his youth and turned that same natural skill set towards the arts. Bill attended the Eastern Michigan University on a golf scholarship and subsequently graduated in 1971 with a degree in Business Administration. During his university career, Bill established a gift design manufacturing business and travelled extensively throughout the United States and Canada. He established himself as an accomplished artist who balanced his business skills with a love of art and design. His talent brought him many commissions in sculpture, often for corporate clients. Bill would always extend his abilities to anyone who wanted to explore their creative talents. He continuously encouraged his sons, Mike and Scott, and then eventually his daughter-in-law and four granddaughters to colour outside the lines. He will be missed by all! Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Goodwill Industries or the Heart & Stroke Foundation (cheques only at the funeral home please).  Memories and condolences may be sent online at http://www.smithfuneralhome.ca/
