CHOLETTE, ReneeWith much sadness and heavy hearts we wish to announce Renee’s passing at Elizabeth Centre on January 30, 2015, surrounded by family at the age of 87. She was predeceased by her beloved husband George Cholette (1979), her granddaughter Serena Foucault Kennelly (2011), her dear sister Simone Sullivan (Lalancette), her parents Elzear Lalancette and Denise (Pilon) Auger Lalancette as well as 14 other Auger and Lalancette siblings. Loving mother of Claire Lavergne (Denis), Louise Foucault (Peter), John Cholette (Lise Barrette), Michelle Cholette (Joseph Out) and her “4th” daughter/granddaughter/goddaughter/care giver Liane Pelissier (Roger). Special grandmother of Robert (Bob) Lavergne (Danielle), Daniel Foucault (Melissa) and Jason Foucault (Serena Fazio). Great grandmother to Jason, Jamie and Jalee Pelissier, Kayla and Brandon Lavergne, Kara-Lee Kennelly, Adrian and Adam Foucault, Miss Sofia Foucault, and great great grandmother to Melody Lavergne. She is also survived by one brother, Gaston Lalancette (Pauline predeceased). Fondly remembered by Bev Barlow, the Sullivan, Auger, Lalancette and Cholette families. She was an avid reader, enjoyed scratch tickets and going to the casino but was happiest when surrounded by her family and was very proud of all their accomplishments. She had a quick wit and would give you her last dime if you needed it. The family would like to say a very heartfelt thank you for all the compassion and dedication of the entire staff at the Elizabeth Centre. You will be so very missed mom and we promise to “have one for you!”. In accordance with her wishes there will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A private family service at Cooperative Funeral Home, Sudbury, February 7, 2015. In her memory we would ask that you just “pay it forward” in kindness.
