Died peacefully with her parents by her side on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia.  ANGELA MARILYN ILA BARNES, 34 years, was of Brigden.   Angela will lovingly be missed by Parents Ed and Ila Barnes of Croton.   She was a loved niece to James and Valerie Lynne, Ernest and Bonita Lynne, Dorothy and Kari Lylander, Shirley and John Hall Susan and Junior Hamel, Melvin (Ted) and Faye Barnes and the late Richard Barnes.   She will also be missed by many cousins.     Angela was predeceased by her grandparents Gilbert and Marilyn Lynne and Isabelle and Robert Barnes.   Angela was also loved by her friends and caregivers and Lambton County Developmental Services, who deserve great praise for their care and compassion over the years.   Visitors will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm from the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia where a funeral service will be held on Monday, May 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.   Interment will follow in Oil Springs Cemetery.   As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Lambton County Developmental Services (lcdspetrolia.ca).  Memories and condolences may be shared on-line at www.needhamjay.com.

It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend who passed away on April 25, 2017 at 58 years of age. Beloved husband of Lynn (nee Bewick) for 30 years. Cherished father of Brent, Lauren, Brittany and best buddy to Levi. Loving son of Margaret Walker (Mathyssen) and the late Louis Walker. Loving brother of Shelley (Brad) Price, Colleen Walker (Robert Hudyma), Kari (Randy) Blake, Paul (Cheryl) Walker and brother-in-law of Anne (Paul) Mousseau. He will be sadly missed by his extended family and dear friends. Aside from being a family man, Brian was a coach, avid car enthusiast, and diehard Blue Jays fan.

Survived by his spouse Lorraine (Bouma Nee’ Pierre) and brother Dennis; Leonard will always be remembered by his loving children and step-children; Leonard Jr., Alan (Bonnie), Carol (Mike), Gerald (Vesna), Randy Bouma (Terra), Carol (Rick Murphy), Sandy (Marc Quenneville), Jim Bouma (Janice), Grant Bouma (Debra), Robert Bouma (Michelle), Elizabeth Bechard (Dave Standel), Diane (Joe Leboeuf), Jean Paul Bouma. Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday, April 24th, 2017; Susan Lynn Patterson (nee Auld) passed away at the age of 69. Beloved wife to the love of her life Doug for 47 years. Mother of Steven Patterson and Christin (Ryan) Barber. Cherished grandmother of Dylan, Matthew and Brooklyn Patterson and Sky and Reid Barber. Survived by her brother Bob (Joyce) Auld and sister Norma (Don) Dolbear.

Susan, after graduating from Nursing school in 1969 worked at Sydenham District Hospital, Wallaceburg until she moved to Strathroy Hospital in 1971 where she worked as a nurse for 48 years.

The family of Susan would like to thank the 2 South nurses for their exceptional care and all her friends for their help at this difficult time.

At Meadow Park Nursing Home, Chatham, on Tuesday April 25th, 2017, Mr. August Sunnen of Chatham in his 96th year.  Cherished son of the late August “Gus” and Charlotte (nee Williams) Sunnen.  In 75th year with his beloved wife, and best friend, Marian (nee Porter).  Loving and devoted father of James “Jim” of Chatham, John and his wife Linda Sunnen of Solana Beach, CA, Paul and his wife Bonnie Sunnen of Chatham, and Donald and his wife Elaine of Lexington VA.  He was the proud and adoring grandfather of Christopher, Jennifer, Brian, Nicole, Steve, Amelia and Jonah, and great grandfather of Zadie Sunnen, Milo Sunnen, Kerry Connelly, and Nathaniel Sunnen.  Dear stepbrother of David West of Florida.  Predeceased by his sister Marjorie Storey, brother Eugene Sunnen, and stepsister Patricia West Higgs.  Augie served overseas with the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant j.g. during the Second World War.  He was the proud owner of Sunnen Products Ltd. in Chatham, now Guspro Inc. operated now by his son Paul with grandsons Brian and Steve, founded as a family business in 1932.  He was the Executive Vice President of Sunnen Products of St. Louis from 1975-1980.  August had been recognized for his community service by the Governor-General, and he was a long-time member of St. Andrew’s United Church, and had received a 35 year service Award from the Rotary Club of Chatham.  Augie served on the board of the YMCA and the CKHA.  Family and friends are invited to the ALEXANDER & HOULE FUNERAL HOME, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 on Friday April 28th with visiting from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  The funeral service will be conducted from St. Andrew’s United Church, 85 William St. South, Chatham, on Saturday April 29th at 11 a.m. with Gabriella Cutler officiating.  Cremation to follow with a private family interment to take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.  Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider C-K Hospice Foundation, Rotary Club of Chatham, and Chatham-Kent Family YMCA Foundation.  On-line condolences may be left at www.alexanderfuneralhome

Passed away peacefully on April 25, 2017 at 81 years of age.  Best friend and loving husband of Angelina (nee DiCarlo) for 60 years.  Adored and devoted father of Mary DiNunzio, Susie DiPasquale (Bart), Rose Melo (Joe), Dan DiNunzio and Lisa Brush (Steve).  Proud tatone (grandpa) of Stephanie (Rob), Christina (Greg), Adam, Michael (Stephanie), Jenna, Jessica (Adam), Matthew (Margo), David (Lucie), Kassandra (Kyle), Megan and 12 beautiful great grandchildren who brought laughter and joy into his life.  Cherished brother of the late Carmen (the late Angelina), Tony (the late Luisa), the late Agostino (Rosalie), Anna Palumbo (Luciano), Lucia DiCarlo (the late Giovanni), Angelina DiGiovanni (the late Giuseppe) and Giovina DiNardo (Agostino).  Predeceased by parents Francesco and Maria Donata DiNunzio and his mother and father in law Donato and Graziella DiCarlo.  Giuseppe will be dearly missed by brother and sister in laws and their spouses and families.  He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.  Giuseppe was retired from SKD and enjoyed his life with his family and time in his garden.  He was a long standing member of the Verdi Club where he enjoyed playing bocce.

Predeceased by parents Gaspard and Florence Dupuis. A proud retired Firefighter, with the Windsor Fire Department for 35 years.  He will be missed by all his golf league friends, at Dominion, Roseland, as well as Pine Lakes in Jensen Beach Florida. A 40 year Snowbird resident of Nettles Island, in Jensen Beach Florida. He was a volunteer with the Fishing Club, Men’s Club, Jensen Beach Legion, Nettle’s Island Volunteer Firefighters.  Member of Royal Canadian Legion Br 594, Windsor Sportsman Club.  Proud of his ancestry, member of Wyandot of Anderdon Nation Splitlog Tribe. Passed away at home on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the age of 72, surrounded by loved ones. Beloved husband of Linda M. Laframboise (nee Meloche) for 54 years. Predeceased by son Richard (1969) and parents Delia (2002) and Ovila (1961) Laframboise. Dear father of Randall and Linda Laframboise of LaSalle; Leslie and Anita Laframboise of LaSalle, and Jason and Denise Mayville of LaSalle. Dear Pépé of Michael, Amylynn (Kaley), Nina, Jayden, Kyle and Shain, and their companions. Beloved brother of Linus (2015) and wife Rose Laframboise of LaSalle, Donald Laframboise (2010) and wife Valerie Dusa of Anderdon, Edward (2014) and wife Diana Laframboise of LaSalle, and Noreen (2016) and husband Jim Ostrander of Harrow. Predeceased by sisters Lorraine Reimneitz (1951) and Leona Laframboise (1954). Predeceased by sisters-in-law Joan (Pare) Laframboise and Audrey (Meharg) Laframboise. Special friends of Doug and Virginia Major, Don (1996) and Pauline Smith, Larry and Lou Serre, Joe and Maggie Vaillancourt, and Chris Hall. Survived by many brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Took an early retirement from Chrysler Canada Ltd. in 1980 to work full time for the company he founded in 1978 as E.J. Laframboise General Contracting Ltd. Served for many years as coach and on the Executive of Sandwich West Minor Hockey. Was one of the charter members of Sacred Heart LaSalle – Council 9500 Knights of Columbus and served on the Executive as Trustee, Financial Secretary and presently as Grand Knight. Was a member of St. Vincent DePaul – LaSalle Conference and served on the Executive as Treasurer and presently as President. In lieu of flowers a picture or a short note entered in the book of memories would be appreciated. For those who wish, donations to the Ronald McDonald House of Windsor or St. Vincent DePaul Society LaSalle Conference would be appreciated. Cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 8 great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his surviving siblings, extended family and friends. Douglas Holden Stuart passed away on Monday April 24th, 2017 with family by his side in his 102nd year. Beloved husband for 55 years of the late Maxine Helen Stuart (nee Whaley – July 21st, 1995). Dear father of Kenneth and Peggy Stuart, Janet Stuart, and Diana and Art McOmber. Cherished grandfather of Darrell Wilder, Dwayne and Mitzie Wilder, Shane and Louise Stuart, Art and Barb McOmber, Michael and Breanna McOmber, Tammy and Mark Ballard, Devon and Levi McPherson, Leigh-Ann and Jeremy Burke, and Mike Murrell. Douglas will be fondly remembered by his 22 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth Stuart (nee Holden), and his grandson Oak Stuart. Special thanks to Kim Toulouse, who spent the past 10 years caring for her grandfather at Meadow Park Nursing Home, as well as to the front-line staff and management. Douglas retired from Ontario Steel in 1974. He had a summer home on the Saugeen River where he loved to fish. Douglas served in the Second World War and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 71 years. Friends and family will be received at DENNING’S OF CHATHAM (519-352-2390), 4 Victoria Avenue, on Monday May 1st, 2017 from 11am until the time of the Legion Memorial Service at 1pm; to be immediately followed by the Funeral Service, conducted by Mr. Paul Theriault of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Cherished Grandma of Derek, Dalen, Grace, Samantha, Ashley, Sabrina, Nicholas Jr., Olivia, Alexis, Sydney, Shelby, Charity, Nathaniel, A.J., Tiffany, Ashley, and Andrew. It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Nina, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, on April 24, 2017 at Huron Lodge, at the age of 79. Loving and devoted mother to MaryAnne Morrow (Bob) and Christine Wisniewski; both of Phoenix, Arizona. Cherished “Babi” to Luca and Angelina. Predeceased by siblings Josip Lorkovich and surviving wife Kata, Ana Frketic (Marko), Maca Srakocic (Janko), Dragica Matuzic (Josip), Zorka Gorup (Janko), Katica Cvitkovic and surviving husband Pavao and Barka Barsic (Ivan). Also survived by many nieces & nephews in Canada and Croatia. Nina was retired from the GM trim plant and was a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church. A heartfelt thank you to the Staff at Huron Lodge for their compassionate support provided to Nina. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd.
