Passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the age of 91. He will be deeply missed by his wife of almost 64 years Cecelia Marie, his children Laura (André Juneau), Anthony and Victoria (Don Hansen) and grandchildren Martine and Nicholas, their father David Paget and by his brother Laurence. He is predeceased by his daughter Jane, his brother Gerald and his sister Marjorie.
Harry was born in Truro, Nova Scotia where he grew up loving big band music and dancing. He always referred to the Maritimes as home. Harry served in the RCAF during WW II and, although he never spoke of it, was decorated for bravery. He was an alumnus of Nova Scotia Agricultural College and McGill and a committed federal public servant for more than 25 years. Harry loved flying and sailing. He flew his own small plane and built his own sailboat, but his greatest passion, aside from his family, was farming to which he devoted himself full-time for more than 30 years until his 85th year.
There will be a private family funeral. Donations to the War Amps of Canada would be appreciated.
