We sadly announce the peaceful death of our mother at Health Sciences North, on November 21st, 2012 at the age of 75 years. Dear wife of the late Leo Carrière and special friend and companion of Alcide Galipeault. Daughter of the late Auguste and Lina Poulin (née Laurin). Dear mother of Irène Larocque (friend Luc), Suzanne Lachapelle (Réjean) and Lise Lachapelle (Roger). Dear sister of Gisèle Smith (Ron), Claudette (Eliane) and Richard Poulin (Claire). Loving grandmother of Robert (Robin), Renée (Rick), Danielle (Gilles), Eliane (Kevin), Roxanne (Wanda), Patrick (Sonia) and Derick. Great Grandmother of Allison, Julia, Braedan, Cloé, Cory, Kayla, Alexie and Isaac. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. A very special thank you to Brenda, Robert and Crystal from the 6th floor, South Tower. Jeannine had a big heart; she freely gave of herself to all her loved ones without any complaints. Derick had a very special place in her heart, they shared a special bond through his medical challenges which helped him succeed and become a special young gentleman. Jeannine was a member of the F. F.C.F. and the “Club d’âge d’or” of Azilda. She was active and made many contributions within her community, and continued after her passing by donating her eyes to the Trillium Gift of Life Network. She was an avid camper in the summer and loved snowmobiling in her younger years with her special friends. She dedicated over 30 years of income tax preparation and gave her total dedication to her clients. She loved helping her family and friends with her sewing skills. In the last years of her life, her favorite pastime was playing games on her computer. Spending this past summer in Alcide’s sunroom was very special and calming for her. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 4691 R R 15, Chelmsford, Thursday, November 22nd, 2012 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at the Ste Agnès Church, Azilda. Donations (by cheque only) to Maison Vale Hospice or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
