Peacefully at the Perley and Rideau Veterans Health Center on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the age of 88 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Predeceased by her parents Pierce and Elsie Brewster dearly loved wife of the late Douglas Campbell. Kay was a loving mother and grandmother and a kind friend to many. She will be sadly missed by her children Cathy, Bruce (Lise) and Barbara Abe and Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Michael (Harya), Miki and Miya And her great-grandchildren Kiera and Douglas. Kay was a proud member of the WRCNS during WWII and was active in the WRENS Association in Ottawa. She works for many years at Sears St. Laurent before returning. The family wish to convey their heartfelt thanks to the staff it Perley and Rideau Veterans Health Center for the loving care and attention during her stay there. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 11am in the Sacred Space at Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Avenue . For those who wish memorial contributions in Kay’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
