Mississauga First Nation lost one of its best warriors as the result of a fishing accident at Blind River on Thursday April 17, 2014. Randy Cada of Mississuaga First Nation in his 61st year, beloved husband of Marjorie for 38 years. Loving father of Dan Morningstar ( Debby ) of Indiana, Denelda Cada ( Junior Debassige ), Dakota Cada both of Mississauga First Nation and the late Nick Cada ( Michelle Martin ) of Peterborough. Special Papa Randy to Nicholas, Alexander, Maverick, Eleanor and Isabella and predeacesed his granddaughter Autumn. Dear son of the late Angus and Elizabeth Cada and son-in-law of the late Jessie and Russell Morningstar. Dear brother of John Cada of Thunder Bay, Wayne Cada of Sault Ste. Marie, Judy Caibaiosai of Mississauga First Nation and the late Roger and Bob Cada. Dear brother-in law of Joann Niganobe, Connie Morningstar, Gloria Niganobe, Annette Alderton, Rosie Morningstar, Ron Morningstar and Willard Niganobe all of Mississauga First Nation and the late Harvey, Vivian and Donna Morningstar. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends. Randy was a hunter who lived for the seasons with his family and a provider for the people. His knowledge and skills were exceptional as a hunting gatherer and knowledge keeper. He was also a trainer for the Blind River Beavers Junior A hockey team for many years, and was an active and respected volunteer in his community. He served as Parole and Probation Officer for the Mississauga First Nation for many years. Friends may call at the Mississauga First Nation Sports Complex on Wednesday April 23, 2014 from 1pm until time of story sharing and reflections on Randy’s Life on Friday April 25, 2014 at 9am.
