BURTWISTLE, Mrs. Jean (nee Love), of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully with her daughters at her side, at her late residence, Caressant Care on Mary Bucke, on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, in her 95th year.  Beloved wife for over 50 years to the late Jonathan J. “John” Burtwistle (1996).  Loving mother of Nancy Soper and her husband Richard of Long Point, JoAnn Orchard and her husband Glenn of Amherstburg, Janet Sue Peters and her husband Gregory of Littlewood, and Leslie Travis and her husband Craig of St. Thomas.  Cherished grandma of Steven and Laurian Soper (Tarian and Mike Wale, Jesse and Bronte Soper), Pam and Glenn Coon (Alex and Tori), Karan and Pat Forsythe (Ryan and Conor), Kim and Scott Walker (Megan and Bradley), Michael and Jasminka Orchard (Ben, Adam and Amina), David Orchard (Abby and Jake), Brent Harris (Benjamin), Shannon and Mark Holmes (Devyn and Max), Katie and Deryk Howard (Simon), John and Ange Travis (Jack and Ainsley), and JoAnn and Jeremy Davis (Mason and Olivia).  Dear sister of the late Arla Whitehead.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Jean was predeceased by a great granddaughter, Amelia Forsythe, and by a great great grandson, Nathan Wale.  Born in Littlewood, ON, December 10, 1917, she was the daughter of the late James and Mae (nee Leslie) Love.  Jean was a member of Talbotville United Church.  A private family funeral service will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Thursday, October 25th.  Interment in McArthur Cemetery, R.R.#1, Southwold.  Memorial donations to Talbotville United Church gratefully acknowledged.
