web_Buksa, BillWith broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of William (Bill) Buksa, at home with his wife by his side on August 4th, 2014. Beloved husband of 33 years to Diane (nee Wachna). Loving Tato to Laura and husband Will Harvie, Christine and husband Ryan Fox, Victoria and boyfriend Armand and dear son Nick Buksa. Proud new Dido to granddaughter Mila. Born in Hamtramck, Michigan on November 28th, 1954 to Anne (2010) and Walter (1964) Buksa. Bill was a Chrysler Executive for 35 years serving in Windsor, Detroit, Taiwan, Japan, China, and Auburn Hills; he retired in 2008. He enjoyed his retirement at his lake house with family and friends and participating in the Ukrainian Community. Bill was a two term president for St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral and an active and devoted life-long member. He brought so much life into the parish by singing in the church choir, making pyrohy with all the ladies on Wednesdays, and holding many fundraisers and festivals. Bill was president of the Windsor Barvinok Dance Ensemble. Bill was also a dedicated member of the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus. He was loved by all and was the life of every party. Bill was an amazing husband and father and will forever be missed by his loving wife and children. He will also be deeply missed by the Wachna and Buksa families, all his Ukrainian brothers and many life-long friends in Harrow and around the world. If you so desire, donations to St. Vladimir’s Cathedral Access Fund or the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus would be appreciated by the family.
