BUCKINGHAM, Steve –After a brief but brave fight, Stephen Markham Buckingham lost his battle with cancer on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at L.H.S.C – Victoria Campus in his 67th year.  Beloved husband of Barbara Marlatt of Ingersoll.  Loving Dad of Catherine Melanson (Michael Ashton) of Princeton, Melissa Davison (Timothy) of Northern Ireland, Samantha Buckingham-Perry (Michael) of Ingersoll and Stacy Buckingham (Jeff Rice) of Ingersoll. Proud Grandpa of Christen, Coral, Colleen, Nicole Allan and Katie Melanson; Ceilidh and Paige Davison; Olivia and Warren Perry; Ella and Avery Rice. Lovingly remembered by his step-son Sean Doyle of Port Dover, his brothers Ron Buckingham (Gwen) of Winnipeg and John Buckingham (Angela) of Streetsville.  Fondly remembered by his mother-in-law Hazel Marlatt of Chatham and his brothers and sisters-in-law  Evelyn Clymans (Al) of London, Michael Marlatt (Pat) of North Bay, Edward Marlatt (Sue) of London, Dan Marlatt of Chatham,  Laurie Cranton (Bryan) of London, Tracy Gagnier (Denis) of Wallaceburg and Dave Marlatt (Bev) of Chatham.  Steve’s family is grateful for the care he received while in the Critical Care Trauma Centre as well as the London Regional Cancer Centre and the help from the Middlesex V.O.N.  Steve was an employee of Cami Automotive for 21 years and a proud member of Local 88 CAW.  Friends will be received at the SMITH-LEROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington St, North, Woodstock on Tuesday for visitation from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.  A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM.
