It is with great sorrow that the family of Des announce his passing on Tuesday September 10, 2013 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital after a brief illness at the age of 80. Beloved husband of the late Mary Elizabeth (1995) and predeceased by his son John (1960). Dear father of Mary (Ken) Jackson, Bernadette Moore, Carol Ann (Larry) Cheverie, Denis Gerard (Leslie) of Kingston, Kathleen (Kelly) Salisbury, Colleen (Mark) Parchem, Eileen Brown and Laura Lea (Michael) Carroll. Cherished grandfather of Jennie, Bryan, Cyndi, Monica and Gillian and great-grandfather of Skylar. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Cherished brother of Colleen Brown, Shirley MacIsaac, and Sheila Wickett and brother-in-law of Gerarda (Clarence) Hurley, Pat Trimboli Sr. and Rachel Brown. Predeceased by his siblings Tom, Harry and Rosemary Trimboli and brother-in-law Hugh MacIsaac. He took his best friend and brother-in-law Ted Wickett home with him to the Lord. Des retired from the Canadian Air Force (CD) and Ensign Security.
Des’ family along with Ted’s family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME 5917 Main Street, on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass in celebration of Des and Ted’s lives will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10 o’clock at St. Patrick’s Church. Cremation will follow. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
