BRITNELL: Ruth Lillian of Belleville and formerly Foxboro
Brintnell, Ruth Lillian – on Saturday, April 13, 2013 in her 92 year.Daughter of the late Charles and Lillie Brintnell formerly of Plainfield.Ruth is survived by her brothers, Harold Brintnell of Madoc and Joseph (Barbara) Brintnell of Ottawa. She is predeceased by her sisters-in-law, Ruby and Kathleen Brintnell.Ruth is fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews; Leigh Brintnell of Madoc, Lesley Ann (Gene) McCambridge of Barry’s Bay, Larry (Karen) Brintnell of Batawa, Susan (Vince) Palermo of Port Perry, Vince (Karen) Brintnell of Stirling and great nieces and nephews; Charlie, Tom, Kiara, Justin, Kari, Leigh, Eric, Tara-Kay, Amelia and Logan. Ruth retired from teaching at Albert College in 1976 after nearly 20 years of service. She then took her skills to the Belleville Corby Library, Reference Department until 1987 where she also ran the Visiting Library for Shut-ins. She was a longtime volunteer with St. John Ambulance and in 1976 was invested to the Order of St. John as Serving Sister with a lifetime rank as Officer Sister.
A Memorial Service celebrating Ruth’s life will be held at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West (613-968-2273) on Saturday, May 4th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 11:30 until the time of service.Inurnment at Foxboro Cemetery.
