BRISSON, LaurierDied peacefully, Saturday, July 27th, 2013 at Health Sciences North, after a brief illness. Born July 31st, 1930 in St. Charles, Ontario to Lionel Brisson and Marie Jeanne (nee Rochon). Happily married to Yvette (nee Savard) for 58 years. Laurier worked for Carrington Lumber/Beaver Lumber retiring in 1994. He was very much a family man, enjoying Sunday dinners with the whole gang. He was a member of the Club Amical. He loved to curl and play cards. He was greatly loved and respected by his children Lise Larose (Wellie), Gilles (Barbara), Gisèle Ransom (Clifford), Lynn Lafontaine (Léo) and Laurier Jr. Will be greatly missed by his 12 grandchildren Marc (Carolyn), Stephen, Shayna Laskin (Réo Villeneuve), Tracey Weller (Jim), Vickie Laskin (Rick Soucie), Clifford Ransom, Alison Ransom (Mike Buzdon), Guy Lafontaine (Katrina Pisani), Darcy Lafontaine (Crystal), Alexander, Collin and Jeremy. Predeceased by his grandson Curtis Laskin. Lovingly remembered by his 11 great-grandchildren Brennan, William, Nathan, Carter, Abbey, Jacob, Malcolm, Kurtis, Charles, Clara, Piper, Breighan and Liam. He is survived by his brothers Adrien (Dorothy), Adelard (Antoinette), Marcel (Claire), and Rhéo (Cécile) and his sisters Lenora “Lynn” (late Chester Calhoun), Elizabeth “Betty” (late Roger Savarie) and predeceased by his brother Rhéal (Charlotte) and Shirley (Ken Tessier). Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and his canine baby girl Lady. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Thursday, August 1st, 2013 from 1-5 pm. A funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel. Donations (by cheque only) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
