BrighamBRIGHAM, Bruce Goldwin – will not be watching his beloved Leafs, Colts or Blue Jays anymore.  He passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in his 82nd year on Tuesday 7 May 2013 with family at his side.  The thoughtful and attentive care he received from all staff was truly inspiring and amongst many things, made him truly a proud Canadian.  BG was born 4 November 1931 on his grandfather’s farm near Hanover, ON.  He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Rita (Bailey) and had lived in Barrie since 1957.  He will be celebrated and fondly remembered by his loving wife of 54 years Betty (Mitchell) his sons Mark (Anne) and Dean (Leanora), his grandchildren Tony, Keltie and Jessica and a vast array of friends and colleagues.  We will formally celebrate his life at Northwest Barrie United Church (464 Ferndale Dr.) on Sunday 12 May 2013 beginning with a visitation at 1 pm, a service at 3 pm and a reception afterwards.  For those interested in making an expression of sympathy in lieu of a first round draft choice; donations to The Parkinson’s Society or The Piano Fund at Northwest Barrie United Church would make Bruce happy.   Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family through www.marshallwdrivercremationandburialservice.ca
