Peacefully, in the arms of his loving family, on Friday, February 1, 2013, George Joseph Brian Boucher of Sarnia passed away at the age of 71.   Beloved husband of 48 years of Mary Ann (nee Cowley) Boucher. Loving father of Janice Boucher, Jennifer (Frank) Abbinett, Jodie (Delon) Barnett, Julianne (Michael) Imbleau. Cherished Papa of Dylan and Brady Abbinett and Connor Barnett. Dear brother of Ron (Lynne) Boucher, Gerry (Cheryl) Boucher, Frank (Carole) Boucher, Anne Marie (Lionel) Gionet, Janet (Ted) Gionet, and JoAnn (Roger) Mahon. Brother-in-law to Joe (Vickie) Cowley. Brian will be missed by several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Predeceased by his parents, George and Olive Boucher, and mother-in-law, Mary Cowley.   Brian began his career at a young age teaching children and retired as Superintendent of Education for the St. Clair Catholic District School Board. He was the president of the Sarnia Red Cross Branch and received the highly distinguished Order of Red Cross Award. Brian’s family meant everything to him. He lived for the love of his life, Mary Ann, his four special daughters, and loved spending every moment with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.   A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home, with Father Len Desjardins officiating.
