Douglas “Doug” Harold Borton, of Hanover, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 06, 2013. He was 67.
Born in Hanover, son of the late Harold (Henry) and Irene (nee Pfeffer) Borton. Doug owned and operated Doug Borton Photography capturing many images and the hearts of his clients and did custom framing at the Oakleaf Gallery, Hanover. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in the outdoors. As well, he supported the Jr. “C” Hanover Barons, being a former executive member and attending many games until the time of his illness.
Survived by loving wife Deb (nee Miller) Borton, daughters Bev Borton-Coville of Hanover, Becky (Sharmaarke) Borton Ali of Kitchener, precious grandchildren Tyson, Chloe and Brooklyn Coville, Makayla and Kira Ali. Doug will be fondly remembered by his father in law Lester (Charlotte) Miller of Havelock, brothers in law Brad (Beth) Miller of Waterdown, Ken (Sue) Miller of Whitby, sisters in law Karen (Murray) Koebel of Toronto and Wendy (John) Hurd of Lefroy. Predeceased by his Grandma Annie Allenson and mother in law Elaine Miller.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 09, 2013 at 11:00 am. Rev. Judith Springett officiated.
Interment in Hanover Cemetery.
