photoPassed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in his 77th year. Loving husband of Isobel. Beloved father of Liz and Stephen (Meghan). Special gramps to Megan and Erika; and papa to Miller and Reese. Dear brother of the late Celena Woodroffe, the late Marie Watkinson, Olive Gignac, the late William Black, the late Theresa Fawcett, Mary Larouche (Dan), Bernard Black (Donna), Veronica De Montigny, John Black (Maren), and Betty Varey (Tom). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Joseph was retired from Canadian Pacific Railway, where he was employed as a locomotive engineer for many years.
The family will receive friends at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner, on Thursday, July 3 from 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church on Friday, July 4th at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow. If desired, remembrances to the Royal Victoria Hospital Cancer Centre or Cardiac Care Unit would be appreciated by Joseph’s family.
