WEB_Bissonnette_MarcelThe family of Marcel Bissonnette is heart broken to announce his death on April 27, 2014 at the Hospice Village. Marcel was born on September 2, 1935 in Montreal, Quebec. He is survived by his wife Neta, two sons, Marc and wife Diana (Tecumseh), Paul and wife Sharon (Georgetown), and one daughter, Donna-Lee Bilodeau and husband Peter (Lakeshore), and seven cherished grandchildren, Lauren Thibert (Chris), Matthew Bissonnette, Beth and Emma Bissonnette, Lindsay (Mike), Robyn and Ryan Bilodeau (Jocelyn). He will also be missed by sisters-in-law Donna Brannen and Jeannine Bissonnette, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Irene and Romeo Bissonnette, his brothers Jacques (Marie) and Guy. Marcel served in the Canadian Military for thirty six years, having spent three years in Germany, a six month tour with the United Nations Peacekeeping Force (Blue Berets) in Ismalia, Egypt and at many bases across Canada. He retired with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer in 1992. Marcel was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 255. He spent many happy years officiating hockey and baseball, was an avid sports fan, he loved to golf and curl with friends.
