Bobwtrumpt - CopyRobert Alexander Bell of R.R.#1 Desboro, passed away suddenly with his loving wife by his side at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Chesley on Thursday, July 24, 2014 in his 62nd year.

Beloved husband of Patricia (Parker). Loving father of Robert “Sandy” (Siobhan) of Mono,  James (Emily) of Chatsworth, Stuart (Sarah) of Desboro, Jean (Mike) Varsava of Owen Sound, and Bruce of Desboro. Cherished grandfather of Aodhan, John, and Margaret.  Robert will be fondly remembered by his sisters Jean (Alvin) Stranks and Marg (Tom) Kuglin all of Chatsworth. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth (Christian) Bell.

Robert was a committed teacher of music at Sullivan Community School, Desboro for 28 years. At the same time, he also dedicated his time to being bandmaster of the Owen Sound City Band for 21 years. Robert was a motorcycle and tennis enthusiast having played the day prior to his death.

A Celebration of Robert’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (865 Second Avenue West) Owen Sound, on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 3 p.m. with light refreshments to follow. Inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. Rev. Dana Benson officiating.

Memorial donations to the Owen Sound City Band (cheque payable to City of Owen Sound), SickKids Foundation -Toronto, or Sweetwater Brass Festival would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
