BELANGER, LouisIt is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing on May 10th, 2014 in Sudbury at the age of 57 years at Maison Vale Hospice in the loving arms of his mother. Cherished son of Georgeline (née Vincent) and Garnet Reynolds and of the late Henri Bélanger. Beloved husband of 18 years to Linda Bélanger (née Cormier). Loving father of Kristopher Bélanger of Lively, loving step-father of Tricia Larose of Norway and Robert Larose (Jen) of Callander. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Grace and Jackson Larose, Papa’s special babes. Dear brother of Jo-Anne, Pauline, John and Monique Bélanger. Step-brother of Douglas, Christine and Cheryl. Brother-in-law of Candace Cormier (André). Treasured son-in-law of the late Lois Satherstrom. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, his best friends Dave Knuff and Bob McCallum and many other cherished friends. He will also be missed by his special pooch Angel. Louis was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed skiing, scuba diving, fishing, hunting and building forts with Kristopher. Retired from Inco after 35 years of service, he was a devoted husband and family man. He will be forever remembered for his kind heart, amazing story telling and for always being there to lend a helping hand. For excellent care received, the family would like to thank: Dr. Greg Garrioch; the North East Cancer Centre especially Dr. Cano, Suzanne, Dr. Bowan and Renee Mallette; pharmacists Vahid G. Horbani and Tonka Perica; and Maison Vale Hospice. Thank you as well to all relatives, friends and community members for their support during this difficult time. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Friday, May 16th from 2-5 and 7-8 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made (by cheque only) to the Maison Vale Hospice or the Kidney Foundation.
