BELANGER obituary picturePeacefully on Monday, July 1, 2013, at Vision Nursing Home, Buster Belanger passed away at the age of 94. Beloved husband of Eila (Seppala). Loving father of Fred, Patty (Roland) Nantais, Rick (Marlene), Art (Susan), Ron (Dixie) McEachen, Diane Belanger and Dan. Cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Marcellaise Lafontaine, Josephine (Garth) Cahill, Cecile (late Arnold) Durocher, Art (Olive) Belanger, Hector (Shirley) Belanger, Blanche (late Conrad) Picard, Aline (late Gerald) Cappelli and Raymond (Thelma) Belanger. Also survived by sister-in-law Micheline Belanger and brother-in-law Harry True. Lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Romeo, Robert and Clifford and by sister Georgeline True, and by his first wife Thelma (O’Reilly). The family would like to thank the staff of Vision Nursing Home for their exceptional care of dad.

Buster retired from Autolite, where he was very involved with friends and activities. Buster enjoyed spending time outdoors; he loved hunting and fishing. He was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan, and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 4, 2013, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2013, at The Gathering Place Christian Fellowship, 756 Maxwell St. (corner of Maxwell and Oxford Streets, Sarnia).
