BEALLE, Hilda Kathleen ‘Kathy’ (Wilson, Ramgren) passed away on January 8, 2017 at 72 years of age.

Born in Coronation, Alberta on June 27, 1944, Kathy moved to the Okanagan, settling in Lumby B.C. at a young age. The oldest of 11 Wilson children, she is survived by brothers Ken, Dennis, Don, Doug, Terry, sister/best friend Karen.

Kathy was predeceased by her parents Roy and Esther Wilson, brothers Rick, Tim, Robert, and Ron and her son, Robbie.

Married in 1966 to Craig Ramgren (d.1974) with whom she had three children, Trent (Rena, Jessica), Fred (Theresa) and her daughter, Trenna. Trenna took charge of Kathy’s cargiving during her illness, ensuring she was comfortable and cared for during her final days.

She married a second time in 1981 to Ed Bealle, and had her youngest son, Kerby (Lindsay). Kathy’s family grew to welcome her 14 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, who all were her pride and joy. She leaves numerous neices, nephews, aunts, uncles, countless family and friends.

Kathy lived in Coquitlam, and thru the Okanagan, including Vernon, Keremeos, and Kelowna. She spent her working career in the service industry, working in resaurants, hotels and casinos. Known for her hard work, and genuineness Kathy was beloved by her co-workers and customers thru her various careers.

As the eldest of 10 siblings, she was born into a matriarchal and leadership role. Kathy carried that role with pride thru her life. Whether it was with her own 5 children, any family member, friend in need, or with her over 20 years of membership with GA. Like Johnny Cash, she always cheered and stood up for the underdog.

Kathy leaves behind collections of Kris Krisofferson records, wind chimes, mystery novels, GA chips, and family/friends who will be forever grateful for the strength, independence, love and spirituality that she shared.

Special thank you to the nursing and care staff at Interior Health who provided superb support and care for Kathy, ensuring her comfort in her home was maintained.

In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Red Cross.

A Celebration of life will be held for Kathy on January 29, 2017 at 1pm
Okanagan Landing Community Hall, located in Paddlewheel Park
7813 Okanagan Landing Road, Vernon, BC.
