web_bartlett_loellaPeacefully, at Hotel Dieu campus on July 12, 2014. Loella passed into the hands of her Lord and Saviour. She was born in the Ottawa Valley 91 years ago. She was the best friend and wife of Roy, and leaves four children- David (Karen) of Sarnia, Jane Reynolds (Gary) of Bayfield, Margaret Vickery (James) of Leamington and Mary-Lou Martin (Donald) of Chatham. Sadly missed by her eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Loella is survived by her brothers Welden Holtz (Verla) and Carson Holtz (Verena) of Pembroke. Predeceased by seven brothers and one sister. Had she lived another five months, Loella and Roy would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Loella was a charter member of Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church and sang in the alto section of the original choir. Through the years, she continued singing in the church choir, until recently, forced to retire due to illness. Loella was one of the three founders of the Free on Friday Seniors’ Group, and sang for years in the South Windsor Fun Band. Loella lived for her home and family. She loved to garden and her flowers were colorful. She was an excellent cook and was never happier than when she was busy preparing for special occasions and enjoying the company of her family. Our family is deeply grateful for the care and support rendered by the Staff at Season’s Royal Oak Village where Loella and Roy have resided for the past eight years. If you so desire, donations to the Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church – Choir and Music department would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Tuesday 7-9p.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. On Wednesday, family and friends are invited to meet after 10:00am at Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church (3200 Woodland), funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place after the service at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
