Robertson; Robert Norman of Markdale in his 58th year resting at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception

Posted by on February 14, 2018

Robertson; Robert Norman

Bob passed away suddenly at his home in Carnaville, Markdale on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in his 58th year with his loving partner of Linda Chevrier by his side. Beloved son of Ruth Robertson of Shelburne, John(Deb Currie) Robertson of Markdale and step mother Marne Robertson. Loving father to Michelle Chevrier of Vaughn. Dear brother to John Jr. of Toronto, Frederick(Nancy) of Orangeville, Carrie(Cory Lafonte), James(Dawn) all of Markdale and step sisters Andrea(Dean) Archdekin and Chrissy Currie(Brett Coates) all of Wasaga Beach. He will be remembered as cherished uncle to John, Elizabeth, Jeffrey, Allie, Jassie, Ward, Jackson, Grace, Paige, Skylar, Daniel, Dezeray, Zack and Madison. He will be missed by his many great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends in the carnival industry.
Bob was born in Newmarket on January 30, 1961. He grew up in Bolton, Niagara and Scarborough. He would spend his summers with his dad at the carnivals and once he was of working age he dove right into the family business. He later got his mechanics license and did all the inspections on the trucks. He quickly learned the trades and was a born entrepreneur; starting up his own business at a very young age. This came easily to Bob, which is probably what made him the best concessioner there ever was; everyone wanted to play his games. He thoroughly enjoyed snowmobiling, working on his dune buggy and Star Wars, especially the music. A real comedian, mostly stand up, he loved to make you laugh. But nothing was better than his own child-like laugh. Bob was a fair person who never took sides. He was very methodical and would often sit and take everything in before speaking. He was tidy and neat and it nearly droving him crazy, but these qualities are what made him such a perfectionist and so good at his job. Selfless in every way. So many will miss their time spent with Bob, but no one as much as the children. He loved to spend every moment he could with his nieces and nephews; reading to them and playing games.
The family will receive friends at the Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception, Flesherton on Sunday, February 18 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral service from Annesley United Church (82 Toronto St. S, Markdale) on Monday at 11:00am. Interment Markdale Cemetery. November 28, 1928 – February 12, 2018

In his 90th year Jack passed away peacefully with his family by his side.  Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife Barb and son Jamie. His children, John (Vera Lynn), Cheryl (Ron), Suzanne (Ron), daughters in-law Sue (Clayton), and Faye, will remember him as a loving man who gave them the gift of strong family and personal values. His grandchildren, Tiffany, Tyrell, Natalie, Kyle, Sarah, Andrea, Shikara and Cole, and great grandchildren, Malcolm, Violet, Lucy, Mason, Chase, Samuel, and Kaelan will miss their papa dearly. He will also be lovingly remembered by his sister in-law Beth (Joe). Jack worked at G.E. for 23 years, and enjoyed his retirement years in the house he built himself 60 years ago. He loved his garden in the back 50, riding his bike through town, and mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and faithful companion, Maggie. Everyone who knew Jack will never forget his smile, his blue eyes, and that he called everyone “love”. A special thanks to all who have provided their love and support these past several years when Jack lived alone. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, February 25th, 2018 at 1:00pm at Ferndale Banquet Hall, 24 Ferndale Industrial Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations to CMHA (Simcoe Branch) or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Condolences may be forwarded through adamsfuneralhome.ca
