JOHNSTON, Isabel (“Belle”) (nee Steenson) born in Belfast, Northern Ireland September 17, 1932, passed in peace on Sunday, July 23, 2017 surrounded by family; she is now in the loving arms of her Lord. Survived by her devoted husband and companion of 64 years, Robert (“Bobby”), she will be remembered with love by her three sons and families: Kirk (Claire) of Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Drew (Debra) of Barrie, Ontario, Craig (Linda) of Barrie, Ontario. Dear Gran to: Cullin, Erika, Rachel, Alec, great grandson Akua.  She will be sadly missed by dear friend Reverend June Mawhinney of Toronto. Belle came to Canada as a young bride in 1953. She and Bobby enjoyed many joyful years extending love and hospitality and gave a warm welcome into their home to countless visitors from Ireland. They shared adventures, travel and a full life blessed with good friends and loving family. Isabel especially enjoyed Barrie’s waterfront where she and Bobby walked their dog daily and rested at the South Shore looking over the bay. We will remember our family meals and Mum’s insistence that we all have enough to eat, “Will you have more”? “Here, have some more potatoes.” As per Isabel’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Egan, Thomas Anthony – It is with profound sorrow that the family of Tom Egan announces his passing on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at the age of 64.  He was at home surrounded by his wife Carol of 44 years and his children.  Wonderful, loving father to Denise (Geoff) and grandchildren McKinnon, Paydon, Tegan and Colton; and son Tom (Lisa) and grandchildren Jesse, Ryan and Thomas. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Rosina Egan, and sister Roseanne Egan. Survived by his sister Margaret (Randy), and brothers John (Ninetta), Terry and Robert. Loving brother-in-law to Paul McKinnon (Ann) and Joan Humby (Steve). Uncle to Matt and Jacob Bevan, Nicole, Michelle, Patrick, Renee, Michael Egan and Alex and Katie Bishop. Tom was so very proud of his community, serving on Town of Shelburne Council for 19 years to present, and was known for his honesty and integrity. Tom worked for Canadian Tire Acceptance for 24 years, and Ontario Lottery and Gaming for 17 years to present. He was a devoted member of the Kinsmen Club of Shelburne for over 20 years. Died peacefully on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Collingwood Nursing home at the age of 78. Fred of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of Gwen (nee Henry) for over 55 years. Loving father of Scott (Joanne Legin) and Sheryl (Tony Fanta). Cherished grandpa of Blair, Aaron and Nigel. Fred is survived by his brothers Rick, Tom and Bill, sisters-in-law Tressa, Rose, Sharon and Elizabeth Floyd, his aunt Betty Humphrey and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents George and Annie, brothers George and Bob, sister-in-law Judy and his uncle Wes. Fred was a wonderful man. He held a deep love for his family and for his community. He gave of himself through sports as a player and a coach with baseball, hockey, lacrosse and golf. He was a scouting leader for many years and enjoyed taking family and friends camping. Fred was a member of Wasaga Beach Probus and he and Gwen were deeply devoted to their church, Wasaga Beach United Church. He will be dearly missed. Ursula was a kind and generous woman who made friends easily. She enjoyed travel, bingo, visits to the casino, the latest fashions and shopping for them and had a sweet tooth especially for ice cream. She spent many years cottaging on Rice Lake which created many cherished family memories. Ursula deeply cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed. The family takes comfort in knowing that Frank is now with his parents Jose and Lucrecia, and his sister Maria. Margaret Isobel Rice (Galbraith)

(1933 – 2017)

Margaret died peacefully at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, after a brief illness. Beloved wife for 63 years of William Ross Rice. Lovingly remembered forever by her daughters Karen MacDonald and husband Marty Whitney, Jill Rice and partner Richard St. Laurent; her adoring grandchildren Cameron & Alison (Brown) MacDonald, Graeme MacDonald & Robyn Glover; and her precious great-granddaughter Lyla Isobel MacDonald. Cherished sister of Marie & Pat Egan, Allan & Marjorie Galbraith, Clark & Margarite Galbraith, and Bill & Anita Galbraith. It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister.  She is gone to her heavenly home to be with her saviour Jesus Christ.  Henny died on Friday June 23, 2017 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie at the age of 77.  Henny of New Lowell, beloved wife for over 57 years of Bert Schaly.  Loving mother of Wally (Deanna), Frank (Sigrid), Albert (Bonita) and Cynthia Retford.  Cherished grandmother of Nathan (Jen), Nicholas (Alanna), Sarah, Lisa, Sabrina, Alissa, Michaela, Kyle, Cody and Nick. HARDY, RALPH – It is with profound sorrow and sadness, the family of Ralph Lynnsay Hardy, age 83, announces his passing at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Sunday, June, 18, 2017. He was best friend and partner for over 65 years with Daintry Adele McPhedran and loving father of Bruce Lynn Hardy (Georgina), Lonnie Lee Ostroski (Jack) and Scott Lyndsay Hardy (Annie), dear grandfather of Diego, Lindsey, Brent, Kendra, Kerri, Nicolas and Patrick, dear great-grand of Matias, Quinton, Isadora, Rowan, Shealon, Monroe, Mirren, Kennedy, Reese, Connor, Chloe and brother of Doris LeNeve (Jim) and Penny Viselka. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Thomas, Bruce, Bud (Allan) and his sister Mary Tobin. Ralph served with the 3rd Royal Canadian Horse Artillery for over 25 years and was a teacher at the School of Artillery. After retiring from the military he worked at Polysar as their Chief of Security for 13 years. Friends may visit with the family at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N.
