October 7th, 1967 – November 25th, 2016.
It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved James. A family man with a tremendous sense of humour, he was always there for those that needed him, even strangers he had met moments ago. He always made sure that those he cared about were themselves well cared for, giving generously of himself to make people feel a little better about their days. We will remember his tours of Toronto neighbourhoods he gave to family and friends, pointing out each house he had visited during his long career in the real estate business. He was had a profound sense of justice, which he used to make sure that things were right in his little corner of the world, through his involvement at several non-profits. James is survived by his wife, Cynthia, and two children, as well as by siblings, parents, many friends and colleagues, all of whom miss him dearly.

If you wish to honour James’s memory, try making the world a better place today. And please consider a donation to the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, an organization he cared about deeply: https://ccla.org/give/.

James, we will miss your hearty laugh, your passionate devotion to the causes you love and your always dynamic presence at the dinner table. We will always love you.
