It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of KENNETH CHARLES BAIN, on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health, Petrolia, in his 91st year.  A lifelong resident of Petrolia, he was a true Hard Oiler.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marie (nee Calhoun), and daughters Pat (Wes) Coke of Petrolia, Dianne of London, Nancy (Gord) Jeffrey of Peterborough, and Karen (Greg) Cross of Petrolia; eight grandchildren, Shari, Shauna, Ian, Rob, Jennifer, Mark, Alysha, and Tyler, several nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law, Kathleen Cant.  Predeceased by his parents Roy and Birdie, and brothers, Harry (Marjorie), Clare (Deane), and Carl (Helen).  Ken served in the navy aboard the ship Clayoquot during the Second World War and he loved to reminisce about his days in the service.  He was a past member of Petrolia Town Council and manager at Detroit Gasket until his retirement.  At Ken’s request, there will be no visitation and cremation has taken place.  There will be a private family service at a later date.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the C.E.E.
