CalhounSheila1 copyIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Diahann Bain-Calhoun on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia, in her 62nd year.  She was the beloved daughter of Marie Bain; cherished mother of Alysha (John) Wiebe; loving sister of Pat (Wes) Coke; Nancy (Gord) Jeffrey; and Karen (Greg) Cross; special aunt to Shari, Shauna, Ian (Alison), Rob, Jennifer, Mark and Tyler.  She was predeceased by her father Ken Bain (December 2012).  Diahann was born in Petrolia, a graduate of L.C.C.V.I. and H.A.D.S.O.N (Hamilton and District School of Nursing).  She was a well-loved and respected registered nurse for many years in London and was most recently employed by the V.O.N. Clinic at Cherryhill.  Cremation has taken place.  At Diahann’s request, there will be a graveside service at Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia, at a later date.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to St. Joseph’s Hospice (www.stjosephshospice.ca), or the Sarnia Humane Society (www.sarniahumanesociety.com), and can be arranged by calling the NEEDHAM-JAY FUNERAL HOME, Petrolia (519) 882-0100.
