Passed away peacefully on May 10, 2018 with her family by her side. Loving and devoted mother of Rosa Maria (Gary). Cherished Nonna of Anthony Russell (Amanda). Survived by her sisters Franca (p. Pete DiStefano), Giuseppina (p. Joe DiMeo), Virginia (Nicola Politi), and Nancy (Chris Cascio). Predeceased by her husband Antonino Miceli and her parents Giuseppe and Ignazia Fasulo. She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Retiree of GM Trim, she enjoyed her time spent with family and friends. She was a member of the Italian Ladies Auxiliary Club, and a very devoted member of the Catholic Women’s League of St. Angela Merici Church. It is with heavy hearts that we must announce Lawrence’s passing on May 9, 2018 at the age of 92. Predeceased by his wife Madeleine (1999). Remembered forever by his devoted children Gary (Bonnie), Debbie (Roger) Caza, Larry (Charlene) and Randy (Lois). Cherished pepe to Nicole, Amy, Richard, Beth, Matt, Becky, Bobby, Ryan, Chris, Kyle and great pepe to Madelyn, Brayden, Reid and Asher. Son of the late Moise and Alice Blair and sibling to 14 brothers and sisters. Larry retired from GM in 1987 and was an avid carpenter who enjoyed camping. He will be missed greatly by his Tim Horton Friends. A heartfelt thankyou to the Doctors and Staff at Hudson Manor, Tilbury for the exceptional care given over the last 4 years. Beloved wife of the late Andre Windels (1991). Dear mother of Carol (Gary) Jones (late Chris Renaud 2009), David (Donna) Carter, late Brian (2013) (May) Carter, Alan (Ann) Carter, and the late Jamie Carter (2006). Treasured grandmother of 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Daughter of the late Millard and Winifred Besse. Sister of the late Edward, late Elizabeth, and William Besse.
Joan was a member of Red Hat Society and Moose Lodge. Passed away on May 3rd, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Born in Wales, raised in England, she spent the majority of her adult life in the United States and Canada. Theresa has been joyfully reunited with her beloved husband Hugh (2006) with whom shared a happy 53 year marriage. She was an exceptional and loving mother to her daughter Christina Anne. Survived by extended family in England, Scotland, and Wales. Theresa will be remembered for her sweet personality, kind soul, and amazing blue eyes. She suffered from health problems for the past ten years and benefitted greatly from the array of home care and community support services available in Windsor-Essex. These vital services extended her life and allowed her to remain comfortably at home with her grandkitties Harry, Hermione, and Shakespeare. Theresa wished to bless all those who had blessed her path during this period of life-altering illness. Grateful and heartfelt thanks to: Windsor-Essex EMS, CCAC (Case Mgr Michelle, Bayshore PSW Tammy, Paramed RN Seana), Windsor-Regional Hospital ER Staff (GEM Nurse Sandra), Windsor-Regional Medicine Floors Four/Five Staff (Dr. Kennette), Tecumseh Pharmacy Plus (Gus, Wendy, Angela), Dr. Wallace Liang and Staff (Margaret, Karen, Maureen), Dr. Albert Kadri and Staff (Vonne, Colleen), VON Detour Program (RN Jackie), La Dolce Vita Retirement Home Staff (Franca, Tony), the Olde Walkerville Pharmacy (Omar), Windsor Cancer Centre (Dr. Pan, MSW Andrew, Dietician Donna), and the late Dr. Michael Lai. Cherished and devoted Mother of Rose Marie Graham and Ottavio Travo and wife Sarah. Adored Nonna of Andrew, Sarah, Ava, Taya and Hanna. Dear sister of the late Antonia, late Rocco, late Vincenzina, Carmela, late Maria, Salvatore, late Vincenzo, and late Vittorio. Best friend and sister-in-law of Giovanna Provenzano (nee Frangione). Treasured and favourite Zia of Frank Provenzano (Kelly), Antonella Borrelli (Jim), the late Rocco Provenzano, Michael Borrelli (Julia), Tory Provenzano, and Joe Facchineri (Mena). She will also be missed dearly by many nieces, nephews and extended family members in Canada, U.S.A., Italy and Argentina. In 1964 at the age of 29, Rita embarked on a journey from Amantea Calabria, Italy to Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. The love of her life Ottavio followed her courage and path to start a family. We would like to recognize all of the friends that Rita made along this journey that brought her to her final home here in Windsor. Rita was a gifted seamstress and loved to spend her time in the kitchen where she always had a place for friends and family at her table. Above all, Rita’s unwavering love and devotion to her family will never be forgotten. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Franco Marignani at the age of 87. Franco died peacefully with his loving family by his side on April 27, 2018. Franco was born to the late Angelo and Maria Marignani in the Italian village of Vecciola, Sarnano. He immigrated to Canada in 1948 where he met his loving wife Felicia Bice (nee Piccinini). Franco was loved deeply by his children Dr. Marilena Marignani and husband Dr. Hassan Razvi, Angelo Marignani and wife Dayna, and Dr. Paola Marignani. Franco was blessed with loving grandchildren Matthew and Claire Razvi, Sofia and Sebastian Marignani; whom he cherished and enjoyed. Franco was loved by his sisters the late Olanda Cerchie and Tecla Bonelli. Franco is predeceased by his brothers-in-law Tony Cerchie, Ezio Bonelli, John, Ned and Gino Piccinini and Luciano Picciotti and predeceased by his sisters-in-law Filomena Piccinini and Maggiorina Picciotti. Franco is survived by his brothers- in- law Claudio Piccinini and Louie Muzzin and sisters-in-law Nida and Flora Piccinini and Elvira Muzzin. He will also be missed by his cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada, USA and Italy.

Franco was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served on the Executive Board of the American Society of Metallurgists as the Treasurer. He shared his passion for art, architecture, photography, nature and travel, especially traveling to Italy with his family and friends. Franco was an avid fisherman and hunter; sharing his respect for nature and the environment with his children and grandchildren.

The Marignani Family thanks Dr. Norrie and Dr. Liang for their compassion and care. The family would also like to thank the staff and caregivers at the Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor, Sarah Brockman of CCAC and the staff of Care Partners, Rachel Saba and Glenda della Torre, the nursing staff on the 5th floor of Windsor Regional Hospital -Metropolitan Hospital, Transition to Betterness, and Sunrise Retirement Living.  Passed away too soon on Sunday, May 6, 2018, at the age of 53. Loving husband and lifelong companion to Nora (nee Bedirian). Proud father to Morgan. Brother to Doug (the late Pat), Tom, Bill, George (Sandy), Margaret (Gord), Mary Ellen (Joe), Betty (Jim) and Nancy (Paul). Brother in law to Chuck (Gina) and Cindy (Mike). Son in law to Rose. John is also survived by MANY nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by parents George & Rita, brother Allan, and father in law Antranik. John was a proud realtor at Manor Realty. Passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer on May 1, 2018. Loving wife of Terry. Loving and cherished mother of Ian, Lidia and Kate. Beloved daughter of Larry and Janice Hrywkiw, and daughter-in-law to Les and Patricia Chapski. Dear sister to Suzanne (Ron) Kirst, Bill (Heather) Hrywkiw, Shelley (Rick) Evans and twin sister Sherry (Jeff) Chow. Dear sister-in-law to Ray (Melissa) Chapski. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Sheryl was proud to dedicate her career to the dental industry. Passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on May 1, 2018 at the age of 74. Dear husband of Dora (nee Castillo). Loving father of Jose Castillo (Ashley Dorey), Claudia (John Denomme), Francisco Castillo. Dear grandfather of Jose Castillo-Dorey (Josecito), and Lucas Denomme (Peanut). Ron was predeceased by his sister Carol and twin brother Richard. He will be missed by his nieces, his many friends and his best friend Leo. The family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice, nurses on the 4th floor at Met, Dr. Henry Fortuna, Timea and Doug from ParaMed, Rachael and Matthew from VON, Desiree from St. Elizabeth’s and everyone who assisted the family during this journey.

Passed away at home on May 1, 2018 at the age of 70. Loving Son of Stavros and late wife Maritsa Kekkas (2016). Cherished Brother of Savas Kekkas, Christine Margaritis (Mike), Vivian Simon and John Kekkas. Dear Father of Stavros and Maritsa Kekkas. Predeceased by his loving daughter Ioanna. Loving Grandfather of Caris. Adored Uncle of Stella, Maria, John, Mary, Tammi, Tom,Nicolas, Ashle, Amy and Christina. Cherished nephew and cousin to many in the Greater Toronto Area. Great-Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Dean was a deeply sensitive person to the needs of children less fortunate in other parts of the world.
