Peacefully at Maple View Lodge, Athens, on Monday November 21st, 2016. The former Laura Mae Jones, age 92, of Athens and formerly of Pembroke. Beloved wife of the late Glenn MacDonald. Dear mother of Deborah Jozefowicz ( Andrew ) of Athens, Ian MacDonald ( Febe ) of South Korea, Mavis Quirk ( Larry ), and Meldia Weisgerber ( Gordon ) all of Edmonton. Also survived by a special friend, Paula Anderson of Ottawa. Loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Nellie Aubrey and Murray Jones ( Jean ) all of Cypress River, Manitoba. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 5 sisters and 6 brothers, Mary Ruston, Kathy McDougall, Amy Jones, Jenny Jones, Maggie Jones, Dave, Jack, Dick, Robert, William and Robert Jones 2nd. Also predeceased by her parents, John Jones and the former Jane Davies, as well as 3 grandchildren, Anne, Heather and Peter Jozefowicz.

Dear mother of Debbie Gaskell ( Brian ) of Athens, Kathy Randall ( Peter ) of Lansdowne, Veronica Yates ( Terry ) of Toledo, Donna Healey ( Tony ) of Frankville, Todd Lee ( Martha ) of Perth, and James Lee ( Kerri ) of Spencerville. Loving nmadeline-30an of 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by one brother, Trevor Davis of New Dublin. Sister-in-law of Dianne Davis, Barbara McNaughton ( Murray ) and Muriel Tackaberry. Predeceased by her parents, Fred Davis and the former Berdella Anderson as well as a son-in-law, David Neddo. Denyse Joly-MacLean passed away at the Brockville General Hospital on Sept 19, 2016, after a courageous struggle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Harvey MacLean; her children, Marie-Claude, Marc and Anne (Eric); her grand-children, Alexandre, Robin, Maxime, Benjamin, Caroline and Jacob; her brothers and sisters, Evan Joly, Suzanne Joly, Diane Allard (Jean), Johanne Sauve (Gilles), Rene Joly (Patricia), and those who passed before her, Gerald Joly (Eleanor), Maurice Joly, and Pauline Copping (Cliff).

Denyse was well-cared for and was offered much compassion by family and
friends during her struggle as well as by the palliative care team at
the Brockville General Hospital in her final weeks. As part of her final
wishes, she asked that her family and friends come to a grave-site ceremony
to celebrate her life on September 27 at Notre-Dame Cemetery (455 Montreal
Rd, Ottawa, Ontario) at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, Denyse would like you to make a donation to the charity

that she suffers no more.

After bravely enduring glioblastoma multiforme for 16 months, Hartley John Nichol died July 9th beside wife Peggy and surrounded by family. Born May 31st 1942 Hartley enjoyed a wonderful life. He grew up in Montreal along with brothers Ross and Barney (predeceased). While attending UNB for his bachelors degrees Hartley developed what would become lifelong friendships with a very special group. He earned a Masters degree in education from McGill University.
In 1963 he met the love of his life, Peggy and together they built a beautiful family including children Geoff (Julie), Greg (Sarah), Cristy, and Tara and grandchildren Piper, Stevie and Hartley Parker.
Among his many accomplishments Hartley led a college called RCC where he helped educate thousands with a dedication to quality education. He is considered by many as a champion for private post secondary education.
Hartley was a dedicated and loving husband and father. There are few in this world who knew how to live life as fully as he did. He died with no regrets. His kindness, honesty, cheerfulness, intelligence and energy for life touched countless numbers of people. Friend to so many, he will be greatly missed and remembered with much laughter.
Donations for Cancer Research Society and/or The Charleston Lake Association appreciated.

Gone to be with the Lord, on Sunday afternoon June 8th, 2014. Mary Dullemond age of 92 of Maple View Lodge and formerly of RR4 Athens. Beloved wife of the late Willem ( Bill ) Dullemond. Dear mother of Freda Schaafsma ( Walter ) of Athens, Hilda DeVries ( Bram ) of Brighton, Ron Dullemond ( Evelyn ) of Richmond, Jake Dullemond ( Susan ), Fred Dullemond ( Cinthia ) and Allan Dullemond ( Lisa ) all of Athens. Predeceased by a son Bill Dullemond of Athens, 3 brothers and 2 sisters in Holland. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Martina McCann of Greenbush, 1 brother, 2 sisters, and one brother-in-law all in Holland. Loving grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Mary will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews both in Canada, US and in Holland. She was predeceased by 7 brothers and 8 sisters.

Predeceased by two brothers, Arthur Peterson of Maitland and Ronald Peterson of RR4 North Augusta.  Marie will be sadly missed by a sister-in-law, Elvira Clarke of Addison, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by two sisters-in-law, Marion Peterson and Reta Peterson and by one nephew, David Pattemore of Brockville.
