Jane MacDonaldJeannine (Jane) MacDonald nee Perron aged 76 passed away on Mother’s Day May 12, 2013 at Sherwood Park Manor. Jane was well liked and respected at the Manor, even though she was only a resident for two months and will be missed. Having worked over the years at Microtel/Automatic Electric and black and Decker. Jane is survived by her husband Angus MacDonald, son Paul (Mira) of Etobicoke, daughters Sandra MacDonald and Tanya Speight both of Toronto. Jane is also survived by her brothers Angelo (Paulette), Paul (Doris), Jean Claude, Jacques (Gaetane), sister’s Helen Sinard (Robert), Nicole Lavoie (Rosaire) and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother Daniel.

Passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on May 8, 2013. Predeceased by her parents, William & Charlotte McKee, brother William (Will) McKee of Lansdowne Ontario and beloved husband of 22 years, James Morey. She leaves to mourn her step-children, Tracy (Phil), Beth (André) and Jay, grand-children, Kate (L.J.), Mike (Ali) and Annie and grand-children, Jack, Myles, Padraig, Naomi and Rila as well as her good friends Ellen Hart and Marni Crossley whose constant care was much appreciated.

She retired from Energy, Mines and Resources after 38 years of loyal service.

Don ElliottELLIOTT, Donald Grant – Retired DuPont Canada-Invista Employee – Peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Brockville GeneralHospital, Palliative Care on Monday, April 15, 2013.  Donald Grant Elliott, at the age of 71 years.  Beloved husband of Sheila (Kennedy) Elliott.  Loving father of Sandra (Craig) Lavery and loving father of Mark (Jo-Anne) Elliott.  Cherished grandfather of Amanda (Mark), Kyle and Kurtis Lavery, Zachary and Grace Elliott.  Also survived by Dear brothers, Raymond (Barbara), Richard (Heather) and Darril (Henny).  Brothers-in-law Carl (Ann) Kennedy, Lyle (Yves) Kennedy and Donnie Kennedy.  Sisters-in-law Marie (Claire) Porteous, Sharon (Dalton) Gilmer, Beverly Richardson and Debbie (Paul) Gaw.  As well as many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Eileen (nee Parker)  Elliott.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Service in celebration of Don’s life will be held in the chapel on Friday April 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland.  As expressions of sympathy donations to the St. James Masonic Lodge, No.74, Mallorytown United Church, the Order of the Eastern Star Violet Chapter No.206 Prescott or the Cancer Society would be appreciated.  Officers and members of St. James Lodge No.74 A.F & A.M., GRC will gather for a Memorial Service on Thursday evening at 6:30 pm. Lane, Ingibjörg Lillian (née Olson)

Beloved wife of the late Alec Lane, died on 13 April, 2013 in her 97th year. Born in Gimli Manitoba 19 March 1917 to an Icelandic-Canadian family, she spent her childhood in various places in Manitoba and Saskatchewan and in Seattle. She trained as a nurse in Winnipeg and served as Lieutenant in the Canadian Army during World War II.  After the war, she was able to resume her education which had been cut short by the Great Depression, earning a BA in English and Philosophy at McGill University. While at McGill, she met and married Alec Lane. They moved to Ottawa, where Alec pursued his career with the public service. After Alec’s retirement, they moved to Brockville. Their marriage was exceptionally happy and close until his death in 1994. She will be missed by her four children William, Timothy, Jenifer and Dorothy, daughter-in-law Rosemary, sons-in-law Noel and Greg, and grandchildren David, Ellen, Fiona, Joshua, Katriona, Julia, Angela, Owen, Adrian, and Gareth. She was predeceased by infant daughters, Olöf and Ethel. Thanks to the local Red Cross community services (especially Denise) and Brockville General Hospital. Donations to Scripture Union or World Vision would be appreciated.

A memorial Service to celebrate Lillian’s life will be held on Tuesday April 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Parish of the St. Lawrence Church 80 Pine St. Brockville. Loving father of   Linda Miller, Steven Miller, Kathy Martin, Marg Watts (Jim), David Miller and the late Albert Miller.  Dear step father of JoAnne Sytsma (Sidney) and Mary Covey (the late Stephen).  Cherished grandfather and great grandfather.

Dear brother of Myrtle Mercier of Frankville, Opal Miller of Athens, Cora Bryan of Frankville and Donald Mercier (Trixie) of Athens. Brother-in-law to Annie Mercier of Athens and Joyce Mercier of Frankville. Special nephew Morris Mercier (Pat) of Brockville. Also survived by several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased  by  brothers Cecil, Harold, Ed, Bill and Gerald.

Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Brockville General Hospital Garden St. Site on Wednesday April 10th, 2013, the former Simone Sauvé aged 82 years.  Beloved wife of the late Ray Hess and the late Raymond Dyelle.  Loving mother of Ronald Hess and the late Edward Hess.  Dear sister of Rita Pepper, Claire Topping, Rachelle Coville and the late Roger, Gerald, Raymond, Rheal and Rene Sauvé.  Survived by many nieces and nephews.  Also predeceased by her parents William and Sara (Villeneuve) Sauvé and brother-in-laws Donald Pepper, Kenneth Topping and Raymond Coville.

Passed away peacefully at Brockville General Hospital on Friday, April 5, 2013.  Allan Laskey of Maitland was in his 86th year.  Beloved husband of Elise Laskey (nee Collin).  Father of Rev. Stephen Laskey (Jos) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and Carol Laskey (Erik Gartner) of Montreal.  Grandfather of Stewart of Winnipeg, Stephen of Calgary and Karen of St. John’s.  Great-grandfather of Joshua and Kristen.  Cremation has taken place.  Funeral services will take place at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Pine St. Brockville on Wednesday, April 10th, at 2pm; the Rev. Dr. Barbara Robinson officiating.  Family flowers only.  Donations may be made in Allan’s memory to St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Brockville.
