PECK, Frank, oval

January 28, 1922 – December 20, 2014

It is with great sadness the family of Frank Roy Peck announces that he has passed away peacefully at Chatham Kent Health Alliance at the age of ninety-two. Frank was born in the town of Sandwich on January 28, 1922 to Martha and Ferdinand Peck, moved to the Chatham area when he was four years old, and settled in the town of Tilbury in 1973. Frank was married to Doreen Richie (May, 1991) and a loving father to Dorothy Peck, London; Mary (2005) (Alex 2004) Gow; Robert Peck (1974); Rebecca (Patrick) Martin, Pain Court; Christine Peck, Corunna; and Tim (Sandra) Peck of Tilbury. Loving grandfather and missed by Cyndi (Larry) Shelley, London; Joey Laurin, Windsor; Mandy (John) Taylor, Alberta; Joseph Gow, London; Sarha Langlois, Chatham; Cynthia (Frank) Cornejo, Mississauga; Jonathan Rivard (Ashley) York; Kristoffer Rivard, Tilbury; and Erika Peck, Tilbury. Loving great grandfather of twelve and a great great grandfather of four. Frank was the last living member of his ten siblings, and will be missed dearly by his sisters-in-law Blanche Peck (Warren), Pat Richie (Ronald) (2014), and Joy Monk (Gerry). He is also survived by brother-in-law Glenn Richie (Margaret) (2002), and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. As a young man, our father loved to be outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, horse racing, and digging for artifacts on the family farm. Frank was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan, and was often found on his front porch on Park Lane, Tilbury listening to the voice of Ernie Harwell while enjoying the Detroit Tigers baseball game. Frank retired from Chrysler Canada, (Windsor) in 1976 and enjoyed spending time with his wife Doreen, children and grandchildren. He maintained his own home until 2010 when he relocated to Chatham Retirement Resort. Frank moved to Copper Terrace May 2014 until the present. Many thanks to Chatham Retirement Resort, Copper Terrace, Chatham Kent Health Alliance fourth floor nursing staff, and Dr. Doelman. Following cremation, a celebration of Frank’s life to be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Reaume Funeral Home, Tilbury.
