Died peacefully on Wednesday December 13, 2017 at Campbell House, Collingwood at the age of 61.  Pam of Stayner, loving daughter of the late Annie and the late Ernest Penney.  Survived by her sister Lucy (Hughie O’Handley).  Predeceased by sister Leah Thurman, brothers George and Stuart and niece Wendy McCormick.  Pam will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and great and great great nieces and nephews and her special friend Doug Peacock.  Pam will be interred with her parents at the Stayner Union Cemetery in the spring and a celebration will be held at that time.  If desired, a donation to Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation to support Campbell House would be appreciated by Pam’s family. Passed away suddenly, yet peacefully on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket at the age of 75.  Guy of Stayner, beloved husband of Diane for over 55 years.  Dear father of the late Blair, Brent (Lisa) and Nicole Welsh (Lyle Smith).  Cherished Papa of Jennifer, Josh and Jillian Scudder and Zachary and Lily Welsh.  Brother of Gilbert Crain (Cathy), Archie Crain (Linda), Norman Crain (Sylvia), Valerie Mullen(George Laight) Wilbert Crain (Barbara), Donna Crain (Keith Brydges), Rosanne (Fraser Rogers) and Tom Crain (Tammy).  Brother-in-law of the late Nancy Cameron and her husband Ron Cameron (Heather).  Guy will also be deeply missed by his goddaughter Allison Crain,  many nieces and nephews, his many close friends and former colleagues.  Guy retired as Staff Sergeant with the O.P.P. following a 30 year career. Sheila Ann May (nee Frost) of Innisfil, passed peacefully into the presence of God at Royal Victoria Regional Health Center, Barrie on Wednesday November 29, 2017 at the age of 71. Beloved wife and best friend to Kenneth May; loving mother of Julie, Kevin (Lori) and Darren (Monica) and Nana to Brandon, Kailey, Morgan, Nigel and Joshua. Dear sister to Dianne (Jim) Vanvoorst of Innisfil and Bruce (Judy) Frost of Redondo Beach, California. She will be sorely missed by her canine companion Cole. Sheila’s courage in the face of chronic pain for many years was a source of inspiration. She will be deeply missed and cherished by her family. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Diabetes Canada. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood at the age of 75. Salliann of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife for 56 years of Ted. Loving mother of Stephen Faulkner, Tammy Faulkner and Robert Faulkner (Lezlee). Cherished grandmother of Tim (Michelle), Aaron (Courtney), Jesse Faulkner, Shalamar Foster (Ken Brown), Tiffany McGrath (Mike) and Joshua. Great-grandmother of Honour, Damien, Noland, Carson, Kyra and Brody. Sister of Margaret Armstrong, the late Bill Higginson (Mia), Maxine Ford (Jim) and David Moran. Predeceased by her parents Sarah and Max Moran. Salliann enjoyed dancing, gardening, fishing and pets. She will be missed by her pet companion Teddy. Mark was a noble, strong and kind man who cherished his family, his friends and his faith. Treasured sister of Judy Kilpinen of Toronto, and Wendy (Peter) DiLullo of Sudbury. Karen is predeceased by her parents, Leo and Florence, and her sister Diane. Karen obtained her Medical Lab Technologist diploma from Canadore College in North Bay, and was employed in her field in Fort Frances, Ontario and Toronto for over 25 years. In recent years, she had worked as a medical office administrative assistant at several doctors’ offices in Barrie. Having recently moved to Wasaga Beach, she was looking forward to her retirement there. Karen grew up in Sudbury and spent summers at the family camp (cottage) on Lake Panache, loved to swim and play with her sisters in the nearby woods. She enjoyed spirited games of Othello, Scrabble, and Monopoly with her little sister where they made up their own rules. The family extends its deepest appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Intensive Care Unit at RVH who treated Karen with the utmost care, compassion and respect, and provided her and her family with spiritual support and medical guidance. Private family services will be held, followed by interment in Park Lawn Cemetery in Sudbury. Died peacefully on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 surrounded by his family at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood at the age of 86. Doug of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of Yvonne and of the late Pat. Loving father of Kathleen (Ron Ryan),Ruth Livingston and the late Ian (Angela). Cherished grandfather of Chelsea and Kayleen Ryan, Rebecca and Jake Livingston, Seiji De Luca Whiteman, Evan and Thea Richinson, Teagan and Mick Foley and Ava and Lauren Haines. Dear brother of David (Shirley), the late Stanley (Ruth) and Ruth (Laurie Hanchard). Dear brother-in-law of the late Robert (Noreen) Quinn and Will (Ellen) Quinn. Doug will also be missed by Yvonne’s children Debra (Steve Richinson), Lisa (Kevin Foley) and Todd (Kara) Haines, her sister Nodaine Bender, his nieces and nephews and his many dear friends. Doug was a wise and caring man with a wonderful sense of humour. He will be deeply missed. Jerry, Elwood Ormonde “Pete”

With deep sorrow, the family of Elwood ‘Pete’ Ormonde Jerry announces his peaceful passing at the Campbell House Hospice in the presence of his loving family at the age of 83. Pete was born in Stayner to Elmer and Vida May Jerry. Pete is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara (Nee Smart), his son Mike (Terri) Jerry, grandchildren, Maxwell and Mardi, daughter Lisa (Jeff) Hare, grandchildren Kaylee, Lexi and Ali, son Kevin (Sandrah) Jerry, grandchildren Madeleine and Vivienne, sister Merle Miller (Jim) and numerous relatives of the immediate family. He is predeceased by his parents, sister Dorothy, stepmothers Muriel and Vera and brother in law Norris Miller. Pete had a very quick wit, a very generous manner to him, always willing to share ‘guidance and support’ to those that reached out. He had a tremendous circle of friends he loved to travel with to warm locations. Pete loved his time at the cottage on Healey Lake, travelling for the winters with Barb to Portugal, but most importantly spending time spoiling his grandchildren. After graduating Grade 8 ‘with honours’ from Nottawasaga SS23, Pete worked alongside his father on the family farm before embarking on a career in auto body repair with Orville Boyer’s Auto Body. Pete would go on to found and operate Jerry’s Body Shop before joining his wife Barb in the mid-80’s with the operation of Barb’s Clothes Closet. Pete was extremely generous with his time and energy volunteering within the community. He was extremely proud to be recognized with the Lions Club’s highest award, The Melvin Jones Award, and was equally as proud with receiving The Thomas Stayner Award for his commitment to the Town of Friendly People. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 1 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Jubilee Presbyterian Church. 7320 Highway 26, Stayner on Monday at 1 o’clock. Died suddenly on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie at the age of 82. Shirley of Stayner, loving mother of David Doyle and his wife Sandra, Mark Doyle and his wife Kim and Gayle and her husband Terry Ploeg. Dear grandmother of Lindsay (Travis), Connor, Nicholas, Lucian, Amy and Benn and great grandmother of Parker with another on the way. Dear sister of Jack Marshall (Linda), Don Marshall, the late Bob Marshall (Linda) and the late Ruth-Ann (the late Albert Scott). Shirley will also be missed by her nieces and nephews Tom (Lynn), Keith, Brian, Tim and Amanda, their families, her neighbours and friends.
