HEENEY: Mervyn J. of London

Posted by on July 30, 2018

HEENEY, Mervyn John …
January 3, 1936- July 29, 2018
Merv passed suddenly at home Sunday morning with his wife Marilyn (nee Jay) of 57 years nearby. Merv also leaves behind his daughter Michelle (Mark) Hartley; Grandchildren Rebecca (Jake) and Benjamin; sister Phyllis; brother Dale (Penny); brother in law Ron (Agnes). As well as many nieces and their families. Gone to join his son Michael, his parents Leo and Regina, brother Kenny, brother in law Don and parents in law Reg and Kitty. Merv was doted on by Marilyn and once in a blue moon (if she wasn’t near) he would admit she was too good to him and he would be lost without her!! He loved Rebecca and Benjamin dearly and when given the opportunity he couldn’t do enough for them. Merv worked at Kelloggs for 40 years and lived in the same house for over 50 years. Coworkers and neighbours alike all evolved into lifetime friends! Eager to spend as much time as possible with family and friends. Merv was known to arrive hours early for visits. He enjoyed every moment with all of you and couldn’t wait till he could come see you again (If only to gleefully wind you up just a little bit more!) In keeping with Merv’s wishes cremation has take place and their will be no service at this time. Donations may be made to the Parkwood Hospital Foundation, C/O St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation, 550 Wellington Road, Parkwood Institute, Main Building, Room B2-147, London, ON N6C 0A7 or the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 20-1100 Dearness Drive, London, ON N6E 1N9. Arrangements entrusted to A. Millard George Funeral Home, 519-433-5184. Online condolences, memories and photographs shared at www.amgfh.com
