Jean Isabel Pearson (nee Kennedy), passed away at St. Marys Memorial Hospital on September 12, 2012 at the age of 89. Wife of the late Lawrence Pearson (2003). Mother of Donna Smale of Belmont, David Pearson of Thorndale and Linda Pearson of London. She will be missed by 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Sister of Harold Kennedy of Kitchener and predeceased by siblings Al Kennedy, Doug Kennedy and Shirley Kennedy. Cremation to take place with a memorial service at a later date. John Neilson, St. Marys, Canadian Veteran and retired employee of St. Marys Cement

John Robert Neilson passed away at St. Marys Memorial Hospital at 8:50 a.m. on September 10th, 2012 eight days from his 79 birthday. Survived by his wife Carol Neilson (nee Hiusser) whom he married on September 6th, 1980. Father of Michael Neilson, Patricia Mercer, stepfather of Darwin and Rose McClocklin, Kevin and Lorie McClocklin, Jeff and Julie McClocklin, Mike and Tammy McClocklin, and Shannon and Mark Nelson. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and sister May Ament. Predeceased by his parents Chancey and Florence Neilson, brothers Ted and Don and brother-in-law Orville Ament. John served in the Canadian Armed Forces and worked for St. Marys Cement for 33 years. Cremation has taken place with a private service to be held in St. Marys Cemetery. Piggott, Ronald

PIGGOTT, Ronald Russell passed away at home on June 20, 2012 after a valiant battle with cancer. Ron, beloved best friend and partner of Evlynne (nee Loubert) and dear father of Christopher Anthony will be sadly missed by his family and friends especially Murray and Kathy Manson and Bob and Sandi Bartwell.

Cremation has taken place and his ashes scattered at the family cottage in the Bruce Peninsula.

Murray M. Anderson, formerly of Scarborough and currently of St. Marys, passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on July 26, 2012 at the age of 82. Loving husband of 54 years to Shirley (nee Pethick). Father of Jim and his wife Wendy, Carl, Keith and his wife Colleen. Grandfather of Alisha, Kurtis and Honora. Brother of Ken and his wife Geri and Pat Brown and her husband Newton (deceased). Also remembered by several nieces and nephews. Murray shared with his wife Shirley a love of ballroom dancing, gardening and their dogs. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation. Andrew L. Helen Youlton (nee Plaskon)

It is with great sadness the family of Helen Youlton (nee Plaskon) announces her sudden passing on July 22, 2012 at the age of 71. Devoted wife of the late Gordon Youlton (2009). Much loved mother of Karri and Steve Preston, Sherri and Alex Horne, Juli and Fiore Zenone. Proud and adored grandmother of Connor and Mackenzie Preston, Andrew, Justin and Emily Horne, and Owen, Zachary and Nathaniel Zenone. Sadly missed sister of George and Donna Plaskon and John and Bev Plaskon,  and sister-in-law of Barbara and Bill Humphrey, Shirley and Larry Davis and Terry and Mary Youlton, and many nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Michael and Martha Plaskon. Helen will be remembered for countless volunteer hours and involvement in several organizations including the St. Marys Horticultural Society, St. Marys Presbyterian Church, St. Marys Memorial Hospital Auxiliary , Community Living St. Marys and Area, McConnell Club and the Friendship Centre.

As with Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home (519-284-2820), 47 Wellington St. South, St. Marys, on Tuesday, July 24, from 2- 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. The Memorial Service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the St. Marys Presbyterian Church, 147 Widder St. East, St. Marys, at 11 a.m. with family receiving friends an hour prior. Private family interment in St. Marys Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the St. Marys Presbyterian Church or Community Living St. Marys and Area.

Mrs. Gladys Bayne

Gladys Isabel Bayne (nee Cook) passed away at Kingsway Lodge in St. Marys on June 5th, 2012 at the age of 91.

Married to the late Oren Bayne (1992) who was a salesmen for Fuller Brush and trainer during the 50s and 60s for the St. Marys Lincolns. Beloved mother of Steve Bayne and his wife Danielle Beaulieu. Cherished grandmother of Émile Beaulieu Bayne and Sarah Ann Raymond Bayne. Gladys will also be remembered by her cousin Diane Joy Leask and extended family members and friends.

The Memorial Service will be conducted at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. S. St. Marys (519-284-2820) on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment of cremated remains in St. Mrays Cemetery.

As Gladys was a caring sponsor for over 20 years to unprivileged children in Africa through World Vision, memorial donations may be made to World Vision Canada.

Lorne George BUGG, Canadian Army Veteran of WWII serving overseas,  owner and operator of Rock Pine Motel in Martin River and formerly of the St. Marys area, peacefully at Parkwood Hospital in London on May 23, 2012 in his 93rd year. Husband of the late Isabelle (nee Dykes) who predeceased him on August 12th, 1988. Survived by his sister Loreen Harris of Dorchester and several nieces and nephews. Visitation at the Andrew L. Irene Stephens passed away on April 11, 2012 at St. Marys Memorial Hospital in St. Marys in her 103rd year born on January 21, 1910. Wife of the late Theodore Stephens. Mother of Maxine Kernick (Wilbur). Proud grandmother of Marlene Dinsmore (Scott) and great grandmother of Julia. Also survived by sister-in-law Margaret Mossey and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two sisters and three brothers. She will always be remembered for her wit and kindness. Family and friends are invited to the St. Marys United Church, 85 Church St. S. St. Marys, on Friday, April 13, 2012 for visiting from 10 am to 11 am, at which time the Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 am with Rev. Pirie Mitchell officiating. Cremation to follow.
